@@epicidex1006 definitely not like 1. The GIU is a huge improvement on what came before and some weapons were tweaked but it’s much more similar to 2 than 1. Something about the crisper looking paint, (probably due to the lighting “worse”/lack of reflection) and more punk inspired soundtrack makes 1 its own thing , and if replicating it was 3s mission then it failed that mission. But it wasn’t the objective, and it’s a great game

Man, looking back on Splatoon 1. The balance in that game is on the level of Brawl Minus, where everything is so broken that it becomes balanced. I remember the best strategy I had for that game was to just to never meet the opponent face to face. Running away was better than fighting in most cases.

Same. I stopped playing Spl2 like two months after release. Just got back into it a few weeks ago and I’m falling in love with it more now. Still not even close to the original tho. Tbh I don’t think I’ll ever be as hype for a game like I was the OG, and it lived up to the hype & then some 🥹

Very glad to have participated in this Splatoon 1 session! Was fun to see myself being splatted many times by the dude himself, haha. I always try to play some Splatoon 1 occasionally in the weekends or Fridays, so it's nice to see some sort of a push for it before Splatoon 3 comes out.

It's been 5 years I'm grinding this game every day... I got to S 97 and then lost my games... Also, I played on the same rotation as you and there's WAY much more people playing in S rank than in S+ (probably because there's lots of people that stop playing the game when they reach S+)

+christine Delire Well, this one random person on the internet is cheering for you! If someone like me who went from being too clumsy at shooters to think I could play Splatoon with any amount of competency could make it to S+ in Splatoon 1, you can do it, too! There are some situational tactics that are super-OP for climbing in Rank that allowed me to go from having fallen to an S 0 to climbing to an S 85 in less than one map rotation! Do tell me if you want to talk strategies; sometimes the best teachers are the ones who have struggled a lot, rather than the natural aces, like ThatSrb2DUDE. Splatoon 1 is my favorite game due to it being an experience of showing myself that I could push beyond what I thought my limits were and therefore is extremely precious, to me. (Also, sorry if I misinterpreted your comment and that you're not actually trying to make it to S+; I know of some people who did make it to S+, but purposely de-ranked to play with a lower Rank.)
