I have the same question! She could have still help, but to her not having a husband is a disgrace! So she rather watch her son get mistreated just to keep the husband. I’d protect my child all the way if I see that the stepdad isn’t loving him fairly. Like she should have just celebrated her son’s bachelor, but she listened to her evil petty husband.
