If i recall correctly there was a comic like this. Barry decided then and there that Thawne was at the end of his time. When he showed up again, flash tore his pegs off and beat him half to death with them. Thawne couldn't even vibrate to avoid the blows, Flash was that fast. In the end, he let thawne live, by reattaching his legs on backward, and taking his eyes. Said comic was a one shot. Wasnt canon but damned the Flash can get more brutal than bats when you push him.

You know what I just realised? Barry was able to make Thawne lose his speed with his own lightning, meaning he could purge the negative speedforce from Nora as well, meaning he could have saved this Nora is she went in there and then have 2 Nora's. Though probably crisis would f'ed up that case and Barry would be left with 1 Nora again (though by that time he still only knows of 1 Nora, so for him not that noticable different, but a bit of less grief in his life)
