This event is losing a little bit of its spirit every year. The one footed miller flip is such a great example. No reward for that creativity really even though it's clearly a fan favorite. The heart of this event is the fans, and I think we're starting to feel a bit of a disconnect.

@@trevorhawley1237 Exactly, no lip on a roller, this is what made this event kind of cool imo, it was resort style bombing over a roller to get as much distance air as possible with style. Think I am a dying breed of old gen snowboarding from late 80s -90s and in minority.

i completely agree. i'm more looking for the stalls and steeze similar to death diving. a half a rotation maybe 1 flip completely laid out. this year was hardly entertaining IMO

This might be true for the most part, but the only true SSX trick done that night was by Alito, hands down. Most of the tricks we saw are recreations or reimagined tricks that already exist, Alito literally changed the game with a trick we only ever saw… IN A GAME.

its the favorite because its the only event that doesnt say "how many times can i flip/spin before landing", you get things like Zeb's first year run where he said "screw the air im gonna penguin slide the whole landing instead", thats the creativity we enjoy, this felt too much like a big air this year

I’m tired of seeing this competition turn into a “how many flips and spins can I do in one trick.” I like knuckle buck because it’s all about steeze and making a trick your own. Not anymore. It’s poor man’s big air. Steeze and style doesn’t matter anymore.

Go ride down a mountain at 25-30mph with ONE foot in ur binding, then while maintaining that speed with one foot (mind you, if you slip off at that speed say goodbye to your groin and possibly your ACL/MCL and knee socket) fly off the knuckle and do a tweaked 1 footed backflip that looked like it was literally a copy and paste from SSX video game. Go KZbin that trick and see how many results come up, go KZbin some spins and rotation and see how many come up. KNUCKLE HUCK IS ABOUT CREATIVITY AND THERES NOTHING MORE CREATIVE THAN A NBD TRICK. 🤡 judges 🤡 event now.

@@IDADDYIproductions ahh yes, because marcus doing 720s into a manual into a cork is definitely not creative and stylish, right. just because something has a bunch of spins (and increased difficulty) doesnt mean its lacking style, but if all it is is a whole bunch of spins by using the knuckle as a jump, and not as a knuckle the way its supposed to be used, then yea, i agree. while sure zebs trick are creative, at times they arent exactly...the most stylish, by any stretch of margin, as he has a very sketchy riding style. it sort of looks like he has no control, even when he actually is in full control, which isnt a good thing when were talking a competition based on style.
