You do realize it shows you the serial number on the back and they do match so the case is the same and the guy saying it doesn’t power on must not have watched close enough because in the close up it damn sure is on
@xXnxanatorXx2 жыл бұрын
@@dansretrogamingandwrestling Yes the serial are the same, and it does power on that's 2 separate boards. The main issue was the Logic Board whether the data board sends power to the logic board which are the Capacitors that are dead, each chip the built in video chip and data chips require a certain charge whether it's a 3.5v to 12v. Those capacitor or caps for short was replaced did you also notice rusting? Even if he did leave the rust and clean the exterior parts and call it a day those rust will cause another short possible a fry to the board rendering it useless then what's the point. The fact that it's a restoration which means retaining a majority of the product that you are trying to repair. Let's use a motherboard for Pcs for an example there's rust and water damage on that board and a dead button cell you plug in the psu and press the power there's lights but no display or bios you take it apart and the battery on the board you can replace it and and call it a day put it back in the case plug it in it powers up next thing the board goes in smoke. Shoulda cleaned the rust and calcium deposit from the water damage. Rust is Iron Oxide which is conductive you leave that on your device is done for. You point out things that are noticeable but have you worked on them yourself have you tried to restore vintage items that's what he's doing so before you through some opinions around check your facts first.

Also without testing how did you know what was wrong to replace "X" issue? or you you just unsoldered everything and replaced all the capacitors etc?

This was a fake restoration. There were real parts like checking for continuity on the capacitors. The white wires were mod leads to bypass the security of burned disks.
