Praying and reading the Word daily has been what's kept me sane through all of it. I have the Bible app on my phone, and currently have a streak of over 1,000 days. Evolution is just a Theory ! And one that makes no sense whatsoever , Evolutionist , Claim That all living things evolved from a fish that crawled out of the ocean and evolved into everything , but if this were true wouldn’t they still be doing it ? And if it was true , it would not be a Theory because Proof would be every where . The Bible explains everything perfectly in Genesis . And Archaeologists have proven that the Bible is a History Book And a Book Of Prophecy , For instanced Ron Wyatt found Noah’s Ark , And Sodom and Gomorrah , And Found the location Where Almighty God Parted The Red Sea So The Israelites could escape The Egyptian Army.

Consciousness is another. Without God, you cannot know. Gods hand is evident on the world, you just deny it. I have an explanation, you just doubt the credibility of it. Thank you for your comment! Have you ever heard the Gospel clearly explained? Hopefully this will help you if you haven’t. Do you think you’re right with God? Consider how many lies you've told in your life, how many lustful thoughts roamed your mind, how many times you've used God’s Name as a curse word! You will give an account for your every word, thought and action. Think about that. You could die right now and have to stand before a holy God. If you died right now, God would be perfectly right and just to send you to an eternity in Hell. The punishment is eternal because God is eternal. This should concern you. There's nothing you can do for yourself to get out of your predicament. Heaven is perfect because God is perfect, righteous, and holy. No amount of “good deeds” will ever erase your sin debt. But there’s good news! God provided a way to save sinners! God sent His Son to earth in the person of Jesus Christ. He lived a perfect, sinless life as the promised Messiah - God in the flesh - and died on the cross, dying with the burden of our sin on Himself. Then, He rose again, proving Himself to be God. You broke God’s law, but Jesus paid your fine. God can legally dismiss your case while upholding perfect justice. I urge you, repent, turn from your sin, and turn to Christ. Trust Jesus rather than yourself. Saving faith must be in Christ alone. Your first assertion is a misunderstanding of a concept. The second law states that an *isolated* system will always move towards disorder (which the earth is not, the earth is an open system). But even so, overall entropy is increased even if order also increased. As a common example, take a water and salt solution. If the water is evaporated, salt crystal will form. The salt crystals are more orderly than the salt molecules, but the evaporated water is much more disorderly than liquid water. Hence earth can develop orderly and complex organisms while also increasing the systems entropy.
@laszlokiss483
@laszlokiss483 2 жыл бұрын
Slat isnt an organism you're conflating the process of precipitation to make an extraordinary leap with literally absolutely 0 evidence to support it other than the fact life exists so this must be the case. You will forever lack a 1:1 comparison to illustrate how the watchmaker argument is actually a fallacy at all, you are the kind of person who argues that finding obviously created structures like the sphinx or the great pyramids and attributing this to a form of sentient life such as humans for example or even "ET's" as opposed to them precipitating out the ether itself is actually the illogical position to hold in this debate 🤡🤡

@Marcel van Neuren You do realize merely replying you are ascribing to the watchmaker argument in real time not a hypothetical situation. What reason do you or any of you other dogmatic scientism cultists have to even believe that reply or this comment as well have an author or authors in the first place ? what empirical method do you use to determine this isnt simply the result of an AI algorithm recreating the process of evolution creating increasingly complex messages, of which the better ones are more likely to be reproduced as opposed to assuming some willful intervention by some entity you cannot see nor empirically prove. Is it because the complexity of the message and how it had to be crafted in such a way as to make contextual sense ? Get out of here with your "creationist nonsense" we do not need authors to explain the existence of such comments where we have other more scientific methods to do so.
@laszlokiss483

@Marcel van Neuren sci·en·tism thought or expression regarded as characteristic of scientists. excessive belief in the power of scientific knowledge and techniques. Definitions from Oxford Languages Im fine right here on the internet that was made possible by creation in the first place because you cant get something from nothing... I also dont have an issue with actual science in the abstract its a tool in praxis however especially in our time its a means to an end and is rife with corruption but thats a part of human nature were born sinners we do it with everything and I blame the people not the tools. I love the way you totally dodged the first part of my comment too although I see why you did because like I said by simply engaging with my comment you are using the watch maker fallacy in real time finding a complex thing like a string of text and automatically assuming intervention on behalf of a being and trying to interact with that being.
@laszlokiss483
@laszlokiss483 2 жыл бұрын
@Marcel van Neuren The phenomena of scientism is absolutely real do you deny people have excessive belief in the power of science ? So you agree with the claim that everything can be empirically proven correct ? To deny this claim is to say there are things that science cant prove thus diminishing its power. To agree that everything can be proven is an unfounded belief lacking proof to justify the belief ergo this claim is actually a religious one. Again I have a problem with the latter portion of the definition "excessive belief in the power of scientific knowledge and techniques." as this hinges on agreement with the religious claim that ive just went over. And again you keep actually engaging with my comments while refusing to admit this is the watchmakers fallacy in real time why are you attributing an author to these comments what empirical method are you using to determine this isnt just an AI algorithm generated string of text that just coincidentally happens to be complex enough to make contextual sense ?

It’s about macro evolution not being science. It’s about how it’s a way of trying to debunk God. Science it’s a wonderful form of knowledge and it’s worried about truth and proofs thru observation and experimentation. Macro evolution and evolution as an origin is not science is philosophy. It’s about the evidence of the existence of a God. Now who is that God? Does He care about us? It’s about the evidence and reliability of Jesus Christ . The evidence of the way he lived what He thought how He died blessing his enemies and most important His resurrection. It all points to His reliability. Don’t take it from me, read Matthew mark Luke and John And check for yourself the reliability of Christ. If he was just a crazy guy ignore him. But if he was reliable, follow him. Make your choice

Your religious beliefs are wrong. Actually learn why jews have a different understanding and view of jesus and the afterlife. The following are examples of things no enlightened god being would ever approve, and things which you never questioned due to bias. Exodus 21:7-11 You can sell your daughter into slavery and she is required to please the man who bought her in eveything he desires or he can resell her. Deuteronomy 22:23-34 If a virgin woman is raped and doesn't cry out for help, she is to be stoned to death to preserve the honor of others. 2 Samuel 12:11-12 God said: "I will create Evil in your house, and allow your neighbor to RAPE your innocent wives publicly in front of everyone (for a sin someone else committed god forced innocent women to be raped, then god supposedly* murdered the innocent baby of one of the innocent women in the story) These are just 3 among many immoral things biblical writers claimed Yahweh was responsible for, and Jesus supported all these ridiculous things. You are quite gullible if u think a god had anything to do with these biblical verses. And fyi , here's just three more things which contradict your beliefs. Jewish scriptures supercede and trump any other supposed new covenants or new religions that people claim. Jews aren't stupid. There's very good reasons why they don't believe jesus is the messiah. Learn why. Isaiah 43:10-11 I, Yahweh, am the lord, and besides me there is NO OTHER SAVIOR. Psalm 146:3 Do not trust in man, for in whom there is NO SALVATION. Hosea 11:9 God is NOT A MAN. ight , let me teach you some science entropy in the universe can never decrease but entropy in small parts of universe can very well decrease infact we see it in our day to day life for example put activated charcoal in a moist container and h2o will get on its surface that is an example of entropy decrease and secondly while complex life itself is a decrease in entropy it actually increases entropy of the universe cause it uses energy to sustain itself and put that energy out in form of non useable heat so life is not against but infact helps the universe to follow the 2nd law of thermodynamics that is entropy of the UNIVERSE always increases.

That's not what evolution says. Firstly evolution doesn't cover how life came to be simply how it got more complex. Secondly no scientist would purpose that a cell came out of nothing but loose amino acids. It is likely that some small strands of RNA formed (~15 base pairs) and they formed in a way which caused them to catalyze helpful reactions. Because this happened over 4 billion years ago, forgive us for not having all the specific answers. But no one is saying a functional cell just slapped itself together.

Our body adapts to things that it already is programmed to deal with, over the course of millions of years you dont grow wings or fins because our body has no clue what a wing or a fish is. There is no proof of major evolution because it doesn't happen. Why don't we adapt to sulfur? Because out body's don't really know what sulfur "is" it's not made to tolerate the smell of sulfur you will smell it as bad if you lived with it as someone who just walked into the room. Evolution is "about facts" but boils down to random chance, luck, and that Ted talk fellow litterally calling it magical.. Isn't that against athiesm? Why would a tree want to grow fruit? That goes against the barbarism you claim all life lives by? Why allow the mammal to enjoy a tasty meal when I can just make ultra light pods and let them float. That wouldn't even happen, because trees don't KNOW what ultra light pods are because EVERYTHING IS MADE WITH INSTRUCTIONS IT DOES NOT MAKE UP WHAT IT IS JUST LIKE HOW WE DO NOT CHOOSE OUR GENDER OUR RACE OUR FACE AND OUR MORALITY. How convenient that we have food to eat, animals to tame, mountains to climb, metal to smelt, oil to burn, and the perfect progression allmost like GOD made it so we make tools of wood and stone to get basic metals like copper, bronze, tin, iron, to then create steel, that's helps us make so many wonderful things, I'm starting a personal fast, so I'll include you yvaine in my prayers as you have been decieved and I really, really don't want you to miss the turning at the house of god and end up at hell. This is not what the 2nd law actually says. The *overall* entropy of a closed system must increase. That does not mean that regions *within* that system can't reduce their entropy, as long as the overall entropy of the system goes up. This happens all the time - crystals are an obvious example. The straw-man version of simply claiming everything must get worse all the time (or some variant thereof) is misdirection or ignorance. Besides which, the Earth is very clearly not a closed system. Evolution has been observed, both in nature and in the lab, so claiming it is impossible is to claim that something that *has actually been documented* can't happen: i.e. simple denial of reality.

@Homo_sAPEien ‘Kind’, much like ‘species’, cannot be concretely defined. I’ll grant you that. Interestingly enough though, mainstream scientists often talk about species without hesitation. But it should certainly be noted that gorillas, chimps, and orangutans could be of different kinds; Answers in Genesis, like the rest of us, cannot know for sure. Now to transition, I wasn’t really referring to the Biblical ‘kind’ in my previous comment. I was speaking more generally. Have we ever observed one type, or form, or kind (however you want to say it) of organism give rise to a new, completely novel organism? No. Even though we’ve observed changes in allele frequencies over time _within_ species-which is known as Microevolution-we have not observed Macroevolution: the millions-of-years long process by which life supposedly advanced from a mere single-celled organism, it not without its own perplexing complexity, into perceiving, thinking, and understanding beings with the abilities to write, read, love, sing, dance, experience, feel, and reason (among much else). Seeing as though we have no observational evidence for Macroevolution, I think that it’s only fair to say there’s a great deal of faith involved in believing it. Now, I don’t want to rag on your beliefs, but I simply don’t have enough faith to hop on board with you; especially given that we’ve never once observed the generation of new genetic information, and yet we quite frequently observe the degradation or loss of information (in mutations and natural selection for example). Since we indeed possess more genetic information than does a single-celled organism, wouldn’t additional information _had_ to have generated at some point?

HE loves you with an everlasting love and we have faith in the Bible because it's GOD's Word to us. An instruction manual on how to live the best life with Him on earth, sharing this with others, before He welcomes you to Heaven. No works can earn Heaven, only GOD's Divine Grace. But, you will need to repent and have a transformed life. Please, study The Book of John when you get a Bible because it shows JESUS' (GOD the Son) character, not the blasphemy that the media and lukewarm Christians portray. Also, the Bible is a collection of Spirit-inspired books written over a period of 1400 years by 40 authors which all aligned to 1 central theme - GOD's loving plan of salvation for mankind. Written by men but inspired by GOD. Many people have tried to dispute it, but they've all failed. Do the research yourself. Matthew Maury discovered the paths of the sea from reading the Bible, and there are many more facts online and testimonies of people. Please, don't just take the foolish statements of others, and open your heart to JESUS. Psalm 14:1 - " The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." " James 4:10 "Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will exalt you." 2 Corinthians 7:14 "Then if My people who are called by My Name will humble themselves and pray and seek My Face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land." Contrary to what you think, I reply out of love because we don't have much time on this earth anymore. Humble yourself and turn to JESUS. He loves you more than you can ever imagine. The Earth can receive matter from space, like meteorites, and matter can leave Earth, like our space probes. So the definition of an open system. Your god is an imaginary friend. Your religious beliefs are wrong. Actually learn why jews have a different understanding and view of jesus and the afterlife. The following are examples of things no enlightened god being would ever approve, and things which you never questioned due to bias. Exodus 21:7-11 You can sell your daughter into slavery and she is required to please the man who bought her in everything he desires or he can resell her. (Now u know a little why jews don't accept Christian belief claims) 👍👋🙈🙉🙊

The great instruction of the New Testament is; First learn to hate the evil, that you may turn to love the GOOD (GOD). Jesus said that only GOD is good. GOD called Job in the ear of Satan a perfect man twice because Job hated evil, hence first learn to hate the evil. When someone hates evil they are seen in the eyes of GOD perfect, and it is doable, and why Jesus said; be you perfect, even as your father in heaven is perfect. Only two same- like beings can co-exist in love and peace. True believers need to cry out in their hearts for the lord to heal them and make it so, for the Lord said; YOU CAN DO NOTHING WITHOUT ME.

@@TonyEnglandUK I was gonna add three testimonies to why I believe in the Bible. In the book of Job Chapter 26 versus 7 it states “He stretches out the northern sky over empty space, Suspending the earth upon nothing;”, the Bible writer of this book wrote that verse between 7th and 4th century B.C.E.. Only later did scientists discover that earth was truly suspended upon nothing. Or even in the book of Isaiah chapter 40 verse 22 where it reads “There is One who dwells above the circle (*sphere) of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers. He is stretching out the heavens like a fine gauze, And he spreads them out like a tent to dwell in”. Now the book of Isaiah was written in between 740BC and 686 BC, it was until the 3rd century BC that Hellenistic astronomy established the roughly spherical shape of the earth as a physical fact and calculated the earth's circumference. My last point is the prophecy of Babylon which reads in Isaiah 13:19-20: And Babylon, the most glorious of kingdoms, The beauty and the pride of the Chal·deʹans, Will be like Sodʹom and Go·morʹrah when God overthrew them. She will never be inhabited, Nor will she be a place to reside in throughout all generations. No Arab will pitch his tent there, And no shepherds will rest their flocks there. Today Babylon still sits in ruins today. I would definitely be interested to see what you think about that, I’m open minded to your interpretation.

If, on the other hand, God created lions to kill herbivores, as well as diseases to kill and maim every other creature on Earth, then perhaps we can start to talk about good and evil.

@@manuellayburr382 1. You don't know the power of God. God is love, and because of that, He plans on giving us according to our choices. People who hate the church, hate Christians, think Christians are daft and stupid, love the things that God hates, WHY WOULD YOU WANT THOSE PEOPLE TO BE NEAR GOD FOREVER? They would practically be in hell of God took them to heaven, I mean, Heaven is practically one big, huge, perfect church service, a whole entire economy of worshipping God. People who worship themselves, love sin, hate God, they would be so uncomfortable in heaven, they'd be in hell. But there is another place, where Jesus took our sin and left ot there, there is a place where adultery, murder, stealing, lying, idolatry, witchcraft, rape, sodomy etc are allowed to flourish till they're hot, hot, hot, and all who love and practice those things can have all the freedom to do those things WITHOUT foolish Christians to bother them with doing the right things. There is no conscience there, no repentance, no forgiveness, no love, no kindness, no grace or mercy, no hope, no singing praises, no Monogamy, all those bad things that the gospel of Christ brings, in hell they don't exist. God is love, and he has that place prepared, away from him, so they can have their fun without him bothering them. 2. Laws are not made according to religion. But what is religion based on. It is based on objective moral truth. The fact that there is a right and wrong, there is an up and a down, there is darkness and light. We base our laws on objective moral law, and where there is a law, there must be of necessity be a lawgiver. (a law is in fact information, and information cannot exist without intelligence). 3. Altruism, or super erogatory acts, DO NOT EXIST in the animal kingdom my friend. I don't know what animals you're talking about, but I am not aware of any animals that build hospitals, or adopt orphans to the jeopardy of their own offsprin. Any animal that engages in such behavior, for example dogs, are trained to do so and infact is a testimony to a lawgiver, an animal may be trained to dive into fire to save another. But man does not have to be trained to do so, in all cultures, caring for the weak and the downtrodden in interpreted as a sign of justice and good sence.

@AlexPresa
@AlexPresa 4 жыл бұрын
@@pixeldude2156 There are many reasons "why". First one is God is sovereign. That word means a supreme ruler over all. Otherwise He would not be God. Secondly because sin entered into this world through Adam and Eve, therefore "gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death." (James 1:5) which means people die, and from many causes, one of which is from diseases. God still loves everyone but its the result of sin and its effects are present to this day, as we can all see from tragic loss of loved ones. Thirdly there is sometimes "no" answer to prayers because our prayers must fall under the will of God in order to be answered "that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. " (1 John 5:14) because then when we start praying we will align with what His will is for us and our prayers will start to change and we will see growth and sanctification. That's a contradiction right there. Any form of complexity can easily be demolished by the laws of nature(entropy) why would entropy just stop for a specific part of the universe? @@nathan2friendly887 entropy is only applicable in closed systems, it says it in the 2nd law of thermodynamics. And also entropy is that the distribution of energy increases over time, and this only happens when there's no energy or force stopping this from happening. For example DNA is bound together by chemistry because the intermolecular forces between the molecules of DNA prevent entropy. This is also why your body has to be constantly regulated and its why if you put yourself in extreme environments then you die because the conditions cause your body to stop functioning and this is when entropy happens.

For example imagine to have a group of red balls and a group of blue balls, each with infinite elements. If you start to randomly mix them the situation as a whole will get progressively more mixed up and chaotic “as a whole”, you can have some pockets forming with only red balls though, small systems of order can form up

While yes the 2nd law of thermodynamics does say that things always tend toward disorder evolution is different due to it taking place in an open system. The universe is in a closed system, meaning no energy can enter or exit, but Earth is in an open system; new energy comes into earth all the time, replacing any energy that had become subject to entropy. So, the law of thermodynamics and evolution don't contradict each other. Also don't go up to random people on the street, ask complex questions about evolution, and when those people don't give satisfactory answers use it as proof evolution doesn't make sense, that's just dishonest.

and where does new energy come from? Energy comes from mass and mass from energy . You never gain or lose energy. You are writing your own fairy tale. If the universe is a closed system and the earth is part of the universe then we are part of a closed system. "Energy equals mass times the speed of light squared." On the most basic level, the equation says that energy and mass (matter) are interchangeable; they are different forms of the same thing. Under the right conditions, energy can become mass, and vice versa. Evolution just does not happen. Adaptation yes , but evolution no. Nothing plus nothing equals nothing and something minus nothing is still something and nothing has never been observed turning into something except in a miracle and that is a story evolutionists want to deny, but they rely heavily on it.

I know I’m late to the party, and this will probably be deleted. But Ray, you’ve got the second law of thermodynamics wrong about how it relates to the universe and life. This has been explained to you several times. At this point, you must be intentionally misrepresenting the science in order to sell your religion. The second law of thermodynamics says that the entropy of a closed system tends to go up over time, meaning that the system becomes more messy and less able to do work. This doesn’t mean that order can’t happen within a system, or that complexity can’t come from simplicity. It only means that the overall messiness of the system goes up, while some parts of it may become more ordered or complex by using up some other parts. The universe is not a closed system. It is expanding and cooling down, which means that its total entropy is going up. But this doesn’t stop local regions of the universe from becoming more ordered or complex, as long as they are exchanging energy and matter with their surroundings. For example, stars are highly ordered structures that form from clouds of gas and dust, but they also radiate energy into space, increasing the entropy of their environment. The Earth is also not a closed system. It gets energy from the sun and radiates it back into space, creating a temperature difference that drives various physical and chemical processes on the planet. These processes create conditions that allow life to exist and evolve. Life itself is a highly ordered and complex thing that reduces entropy locally, but also increases it globally by using up resources and producing waste. Evolution is not breaking the second law of thermodynamics. It is a natural result of the variation and selection that happen in living systems under changing environmental conditions. Evolution doesn’t create order or complexity out of nothing. It only modifies existing structures and functions through random mutations and non-random adaptations. Evolution doesn’t produce perfect or optimal designs. It only produces ones that are good enough to survive and reproduce in a given context. So, your argument that the second law of thermodynamics proves that the universe couldn’t have come from nothing, or that evolution is impossible, is wrong. You are applying a law that only applies to closed systems to systems that are open and dynamic. You are ignoring the fact that order and complexity can come from disorder and simplicity, as long as there is an exchange of energy and matter with the environment.

@@paulhansenofficial Here, Skeptics, scholars, and godless researchers that have been in depth of the resurrection have already proven Jesus really existed. That’s simply a fact. They have also proven the following which are considered universal facts. Jesus was crucified. Jesus was buried. The tomb was empty. About 2/3 of New Testament scholars will say the tomb was empty. Skeptics, scholars, and godless researchers will admit this. But then they say things like “oh He wasn’t really dead.” Or “oh someone stole His body.”. But that’s not possible and I’ll tell you why. The Romans were professionals at crucifying people. They’ve done it a gazillions times and they would’ve been killed themselves if they let someone who wasn’t dead off the cross. On top of that, there’s no record of anyone surviving a crucifixion. And Jesus wasn’t just crucified, before His crucifixion He was flogged. Which means He was beat mercilessly with whips and sharp objects. And then He was crucified. So there’s no question, He was dead. And no one could’ve stolen His body. There was a massive stone securing the tomb. So there would have to be a lot of people to move it. There’s only 3 options. The Roman soldiers, the Jewish leaders, and Jesus’ followers. The Roman soldiers couldn’t have done it. They would’ve been killed if they slept while guarding the tomb. So they also would’ve been killed if they stole His body. On top of that, the Romans wanted to appease the Jewish leaders. So it couldn’t have been the Romans. It also couldn’t have been the Jewish leaders because they were the ones that wanted Him crucified in the first place. So neither of the groups could’ve done it, plus once people started saying He was risen, all they had to do was produce the body and slam the whole thing. But they couldn’t. And then Jesus’ disciples. Some of them were killed for preaching Jesus’ resurrection. A lot of them were crucified. No one would die for a lie. And furthermore, many of the disciples were so scared for their lives that only John (of the 12) actually showed up at the crucifixion. So they would have to overcome their fear, take on the numerous professional Roman soldiers, break the Roman seal (which would’ve meant death), move the giant stone, and then steal His body to later preach about and die a torturous death for something they knew was lie. So He was dead, and no one stole His body. But after Jesus had risen, people SAW Him. Dr. Dale Allison who calls himself a cryptic deist with the Princeton theological seminary said “Yeah, I don’t really know what to do with this stuff. But one thing I’m sure of, the risen Jesus appeared to His followers after His death.” That man is not a man of God by the way. Some say that they were hallucinating but there’s no such thing as MASS hallucinations. Jesus appeared to more than 500 people at once after His death, after He had risen. If it could be proven beyond a reasonable doubt that Jesus didn’t rise from the dead, the entire Christian faith is in vain and we believe in nothing. There

However if we imagine that a brick could reproduce and stick to other bricks and every time it did there was the option of errors occurring which changed the brick slightly... then we imagine that some external observer was removing bricks that didn’t ‘fit’ properly then it starts to sound a bit more believable that we could get a house, especially if you consider that the small changes over time would mean the end bricks were so different they couldn’t even join with the first bricks to build a wall and instead performed a totally new function. To suggest that the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics means that: "everything gets worse" or "the universe is breaking down" is utterly ignorant of science. The law refers to a thermally closed system for a start which the development of life on earth is clearly not. There are so many other misunderstandings of the second law that I could write a few hundred paragraphs pointing them out, but I won't bother. This is the classic example of people who don't trust or believe in science dipping their toes in just enough to come out stupider than they were to begin with (and intelligent design is another classic example of this rudimentary attempt to try on the costume of science). Suffice to say that this is a laughable analysis.

The word evolution in a broad sense refers to processes of change, from stellar evolution to changes in language. In biology, the meaning is more specific: heritable changes which accumulate over generations of a population. Individual organisms do not evolve in their lifetimes, but variations in the genes they inherit can become more or less common in the population of organisms. Any changes during the lifetime of organisms which are not inherited by their offspring are not part of biological evolution.

Bacteria reproduce very quickly and can mutate. With large populations of them aswell you can also get exchanges of genetic information between bacteria species. So over more and more generations you would expect the bacteria population to become more resistant to certain antibiotics. Humans evolve on a much slower scale than bacteria so this process is over millions of years. If you separated the same species of bacteria and left it for some time with the proper amount of resources available then over time you would expect the two populations of bacteria to become different. @skydriver5709
@skydriver5709 10 ай бұрын
@@matta6298 with what you already said, you get the gist of what evolution is. What a creationist believes is that God created all the animal families and orders that exist today, and evolution has only accounted for slight variations within the species, but denies things like dogs and bears came from the same ancestor, or that human beings are related to apes or monkeys at all. They call it 'micro-evolution' and 'macro-evolution', but there's only just evolution. Small changes over time (micro-evolution) would inevitably lead to larger changes over longer periods of time (macro-evolution). A creationist denies large changes over a long period, because they believe the Earth is only 6,000 years old. They believe the Earth hasn't been around long enough for macro-evolution to take place, because they take a complete literal approach to the 6 days of creation story, and then track the bible lineage from Adam/Eve to modern day, which is about 6,000 years. Creationists are completely wrong in their interpretation of the bible, but the flaw is in their interpretation, not with evolution, nor with the bible or Christianity. There's no conflict. Creationists create a conflict that doesn't really exist. I guess it would be helpful if you asked questions, and I can do my best to answer.

@@showkatnawaz1685 "how u can relay on both random process and intelligent creation at a same time?" I believe God created the universe, and at that moment all time, space and matter were also created. As well as all the laws and order that organized the universe into galaxies, stars, planets and systems. All that intelligence out of God speaking it into existence. I don't think God literally molded everything by hand, nor did it in 6 literal Earth days. That's just part of old Jewish style storytelling. Evolution is not an explanation for how life began or was created. Evolution is only an explanation for what life does after it was created. I think it's important to understand what the first 5 books are, and why Genesis is not like the 4 books that follow it. Moses authored the Torah, but Moses only entered the story in the 2nd book. Therefore, Exodus through Deuteronomy are what's known as "historical narrative". Moses wrote the things he saw and his people went through. Those things are literal historical texts. Moses didn't witness any of Genesis. Genesis is a collaboration of stories from those he led out of Egypt. It's also important to understand the style of storytelling they used, which continued all the way to Jesus. Parables. All of Jesus' parable stories involved people. Not real people. People made up for the story. The people aren't what's important to the parables. The underlying meaning and message of wisdom are the purpose of parables. Every story in Genesis is in the same style. If you fixate on the stories as literal events, you're probably missing their intended purpose and meaning. Stories were told in this way to make them memorable, because Jews passed on wisdom and knowledge through artistic storytelling. What's the MEANING of Cain and Abel? What's the MEANING of the Garden? What's the MEANING of the snake deceiving Eve? What's the lesson and wisdom they teach? Genesis is book of parables, not literal stories or historical narratives.

I don't think anybody ever said about evolution, that it makes things better, or did someone? 🤔 Evolution is the adaptive process to certain conditions. And if one organism isn't comfortable with the conditions, it dies off, while another specimen might survive and produce offspring with the same traits, that can endure the conditions. That's not better, that's just better suited for that specific environment at that time. So, we as humans, are not better then a dinosaur or a slug. We just live under different circumstances. "Better" in terms of evolution just simply means "survive and being able to produce offspring, that themselves again might produce offspring". I produced offspring, but maybe only, because as a child I underwent surgery for an undescended testicle. Maybe my sperm count wouldn't have been enough. Maybe it would have been. Am I "better" now? Should I have offspring? Would I have been worse, not as valuable without? I just was successful in the reproductive game. Maybe I would have been far more useful and "better" for the world, for other people, if I didn't have kids. Who knows?

Not sure on which side of the fence you're at, but the whole idea behind "Evolution" is the improvement of everything - constantly growing into greater complexity and resilience. That's how the word is used in the general public. Now if you're in the evolutionist camp then you HAVE to use the word as meaning exactly that because they rely on evolution as the driver that created all existing lifeforms from a single cellular ancestor. Then the question arises -how does it happen? How does new forms, function and integration happen without any planning/design/building/testing - all the while incorporating new materials etc?

@@kevinrtres DNA is not perfectly replicated when cells replicate. The new cell may have more reproductive success due to such a change such as thicker fur letting it hunt in areas that are too cold for its cousins, getting more food resources for less use of them allowing it to reproduce more often. The progression of development of the eye starts with a cell that has a photochemical reaction that feeds a signal into its nervous system. Those who also get a change where they react to the new signal by hiding get eaten less by predators. Having more than one photosensitive cell allows for a more refined sensing of the light level and a more refined behavior can then be spread through a population by the members with those changes out-breeding the one that do not. Next step: small changes in regulation of the rate of skin growth often leads to pockets forming, due to the laws of physics. A pocket lined with photosensitive cells now has direction sensing capability.

How did that conduit develop (spontaneously) in such a fashion that it could CONNECT to that photoreceptor SYSTEM in just the right way to receive those coded signals in a coherent and logical fashion without loss of information? What exactly is that INFORMATION being transmitted? Talking of transmission of INFORMATION - where there is a sender of information there must exist a receiver that can DECODE and UNDERSTAND what has been sent - so how did the two spontaneously arise at random and then manage to SYNC up on the CODING/DECODING as well as the transmit/receive protocols required? @@a.39886 except for the fact that humans *are* animals. All life is related; we are related to every other animal on earth. Our bodies are comprised of the same chemistry and elements as everything else on Earth, just different proportions. Actually, most of the cells in our bodies are not even human. We are mostly made up of viruses, bacteria, and fungi. *Yes, evolution by descent from a common ancestor is clearly true. If there was any lingering doubt about the evidence from the fossil record, the study of DNA provides the strongest possible proof of our relatedness to all other living things* *As someone who's had the privilege of leading the human genome project, I've had the opportunity to study our own DNA instruction book at a level of detail that was never really possible before. It's also now been possible to compare our DNA with that of many other species. The evidence supporting the idea that all living things are descended from a common ancestor is truly overwhelming. I would not necessarily wish that to be so, as a Bible-believing Christian. But it is so. It does not serve faith well to try to deny that* The above quotes are from Francis Collins, the man who led the human genome project, which many people consider to be the greatest scientific achievement in history. He is a very devout Christian, but he is also honest, and accepts the overwhelming data and evidence indicating evolution is fact and all life is related. One thing we should all know from history is that one cannot argue against science armed only with their religious beliefs. That has never, ever worked.

@@bujaboy7665 sorrt but I pretty much watched the whole thing and can debunk most of these proofs. I'd say the most unshakeable one brought up was how improbable it is for complex life to exist on earth. However, almost all of these proofs are on very shaky basis, such as when he quoted that the fact we are 99% genetically similar to chimpanzees dosen't prove evolution because if based on cholesterol levels, we are more closely related to garter snakes which is just the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Cholesterol levels don't tell you much about lineage because of how ambiguous and unobjectified it is. However, genetic data is based on the universal 4 nucleotide bases which makes it quantifiable and hence justified in used for statistical analysis. Another example he brought up was how it is improbable for the universe to exist. But consider this. We don't know how 'long' it was before the universe existed. Yes, its true that science can't explain alot of things but please have a healthy amount of skepticism because you sound extremely cultish. I myself am a christian and the way these comments praise Ray's name is just scary.

I believe Americans went to the Moon in--when was it>--1969? But I can't explain astrophysics to you or explain how the rocket worked that transported them there. Does my ignorance prove that it was a lie or that it is foolish to believe it? No. It is a clever but stupid and slimy thing to do to ask young students to explain the things he asked them. Besides, at most, he might make a case for an intelligent designer but it's quite a leap to move to the Bible. That's intellectual trashy. He also claims assigns value to evolution--as if evolution made everything better. That's not a claim the theory of evolution makes, strictly speaking. He creates a straw man to beat up on. Please consider this: if you drop a feather, it swings back and forth like a pendulum--up and down and up and down. Every up-swing is an increase in energy. Given the billions of years that have passed, if evolution took place on Earth, that's only a small upswing in increasing energy and complexity. The 2nd "Law" of thermodynamics describes the general tendency, not what is going on everywhere, every place all the time. The story of Adam and Eve does not have within it a story of the Fall of Man. Jews know this. Read it literally and you won't find it. It never says they were created immortal but lost their immortality, it never mentions Satan, and the reason God expelled them from Eden was not that they disobeyed. It was because of what else they might do: eat of the Tree of Life. In the story, God says so himself. To repent does not mean to turn to God or to Jesus. "To Repent" means to change. That's all. If you sin, stop sinning. Paul gave the world this pessimistic view that humans couldn't do that on their own. If you sin now and then, it does not make you a sinner. If your child does a bad thing, is he or she therefore a bad child?

"If everything over time gets worse, and not better, evolution is completely false." Sheesh. Classic strawman argument -- a misrepresentation caused by misunderstanding. The 2LT says nothing at all about "better" or "worse". Replacing the neutral language of the 2LT with value-loaded words shows that Comfort is simply trying to be comfortable, not honest. Examples of ordered structures emerging from relatively non-ordered circumstance are found all over the place -- hurricanes, tornadoes, graded river beds, clouds, mountains, stars, planets, quarks, atoms, molecules. If everything "gets worse", these ordered structures could not / would not exist. The 1LT says that energy is conserved. Since energy (momentum) is conserved, then an area in equilibrium can never be more or less than a local event -- i.e., the energy is transferred out of the local area being measured, and does its work somewhere else. So, far from being some "Gotcha!" argument against evolution, it's a "Gotcha!" argument displaying how little Comfort actually understands what he's talking about. Comfort got his degree in science from Dunning-Kruger University.

You are obviously a delusioned liar whose heart has been hardened. Fools like you have no hope. The second law of thermodynamics basically says everything degrades over time. If wood burns up for example there's no way that process can be reversed to produce the wood in it's original form, because things are running down. Mountains are aging stars are burning up. And please don't ever say that a star has been born, no scientist has ever observed a star being born, star deaths have been observed but not births. Evolution is the greatest scientific hoax because it breaks the second law of thermodynamics. It gets better and better which is not true so please the next time you want to make a scientific argument do not bring in your woke subjective scientific knowledge sprinkled with some fancy vocabulary to scare anyone. If you thought evolution was true there's no reason why you will be here. And I guess the reason your here is because you are restless. Just llike the rest of your friends always trolling Truth speakers like Ray around. Light have come and men hated the light because they loved darkness. I love it when theists attack science they do not fully understand by calling upon other science they do not fully understand, just so they can defend their beliefs... In all fairness the speaker at this TED talk makes the same mistake that many creationists make about the second law of thermodynamics. Both claim that this law is about things moving from order to disorder, from structure to chaos, which it absolutely isnt... Now just as most creationists, this speaker clearly isn't a physicist, seen the fact that next to misinterpretating the second law of thermodynamics, he also makes incorrect statements about the very beginning of our universe, like calling it a explosion or claiming time didn't exist. Even though I am no physicist either and in no way a expert or authority on this subject, I always try to correct this misunderstanding (over and over it seems). So let's try to explain it in my own oversimplified way: First and foremost the laws of thermodynamics deal with energy, not structure, not complexity, just energy... The second law of thermodynamics states that with every transition of energy (for instance from heat to motion), a tiny amount of that energy becomes unavailable. This loss of energy is measurable and is called "entropy". Using this fact you can conclude that theoretically in a completely closed off system with ongoing energy transitions, the amount of entropy will keep building up, untill the system reaches complete entropy. Beside that this has nothing to do with chaos or disorder, our planet or solar system is anything but closed off. So next to the fact it has nothing to say about complexity or order, it also doesn't even apply to Earth because we are constantly bombarded with external energy... So please stop using the second law of thermodynamics as argument against evolution, because frankly it is a bit embarrassing...

Hey, I see you have some good points, however I could maybe believe in the theory of evelution if we where "robots"(cells) without souls. But how did life form, not just DNA and cells. How did you enter your body, and how did stone, rocks, mud and energy make you appear to control your body. For me, no theory from these elements can explain how souls are formed. We talk about cells without souls(just reactions/robots/instincts), but if you have enoght of them in the right place, a soul will appear to control the creature. Its like magic. On the other side I have experienced to be instantly healed in my knee when I was prayed for. Just by grace, for God is good. I see Him in my everyday life, and He is so real. If He is not real, I, my church and most of believers of Jesus is brain-washed. We would spread fake testemonies and plan to make supernatural stuff like healings and prophecies and physical manifestations of God. Truth is, they do happen. But you can always choose to believe in it or to make explanations for why they are fake. I could doubt on God and my church, but it seems so unlikely to be a fake community just to spread pride. Its a good place to be and we lift eachother up and tend to see the best in eachother. For me it seems more likely that God is real and those miracles I have seen is real, then for life to form by dead matter. This is because, both would require some form of magic/miracle.

Hello@@filipgiskedegard9173, thank you for your reply. I'm glad your beliefs has been a positive force and influence in your life. I think most of the theists I communicate with are sincere, honest and often have the best intentions. But considering that, as an atheist, I have talked with followers of many different religions and often they are as convinced and convicted about their beliefs as you seem to be about yours, often backed up by simular experiences, encounters and effects. And considering that these beliefs often do not align with eachother, it means they cannot all be true, despite the testimonies of those experiencing that faith. So I hope you can understand that personal conviction and experiences alone do not convince me eventhough I am sure they are real for you... I am curious about your remarks about souls. What defines a "soul" according to you, how do you know they exist or what reason do you have to think they are real. I'm asking this because personally i've never seen any evidence to aassume souls exist (at least not in the way they have been described to me so far). Basically, to my knowledge, we don't have any proof or reason to believe there is consciousness/awareness outside that of a brain or physical body.

Hi@@BankoleTomiVisuals, energy can absolutely act on matter, basically if you break anything down far enough, you'll end up with nothing but energy. But that is not what i'm saying.
