The Lords ways are not our ways. I am 37, single, know I am called to the ministry, know I want children and a husband, but I have not seen any of it happen as of yet. I've often wondered what Ps. 37:4 really means. But honestly, even though I at times don't believe everyone really understands what it means to have to wait upon the Lord and really trust Him to fill the desires of your heart, I know God is faithful, and His seasons are different for everyone. Even if I never see my full desires fulfilled, I know who I am, who I serve, and why I serve Him. IF and or WHEN He decides to add those things to my life, all I really want is for Him to always remain my focus. Not things I want!

It's so funny that I listened to this tonight cause just this morning I had a little revelation about this very issue! My husband told my kids we were going on vacation to Texas in 3 weeks and as were discussing and going over details my youngest son who's 3 goes and puts HIS SHOES ON and is like "ready!!" hahaha! And God showed me right then how I have been about the things he's said to me (teaching, being an influence, the callings & plans)... how as soon as He says it I think He means right then and there! And then I have gotten frustrated with myself thinking I'm behind in my calling LOL... Our concept of time to God is like the comparison of a 3 year old and their parent. It's good to be ready and preparing yourself for it but don't beat yourself up thinking you have to do something in regards to timing- He's got that worked out & His time is not our time.

I like this lady. Great word. I do wonder at the age examples though. What is so terribly odd about not being married at 27? It's not odd to not be married, own a home, or have children under 30. Or even sometimes under 40. Life does not just go the way we always think it should go.

So glad I came across this video! I am searching for a job now after completing my degree recently. I feel like things in my life slowed down after I turned 30. I know what God says about being patient and waiting on his word. I also know that I need to be good to myself because I beat myself down a lot. Wow! This really resonated with me! I'm only 21, but I often find myself wondering why my life hasn't progressed in the same way that my peers' lives have. It can be hard not to compare your life to everyone else's when they seem to be gaining and increasing in success in multiple areas of life, where you seem to be falling behind. But lately I've been very content in the stage of life that I'm in, getting more into the Word and focusing my attention on learning what God wants from me and for me. This really has helped with my confidence in that particular area, so I honestly really appreciate this!

This is literally my life. I'm 27 living at home and doing ministry. Most of my friends are married. Even some girls that I discipled are now engaged or married. I would often say that I feel like Im running behind my life. I want to be on the mission field and do awesome things for Jesus. This was super encouring!

I have watched this a few times now and still tearing up - 27, living at home, having so many dreams in my heart and slowly starting to walk in what God has prepared for me all along. This also really takes the pressure off to reach our closest friends and family - Jesus had told me before I moved back in with my parents that a prophet has no honor in his hometown, so if this was the case for Jesus, how much more is it the case for us? We need to take the pressure off of ourselves and trust that our life will speak!

Well this was a timely message! I think I'm about the same age as you, but still haven't met the right person yet. Thankfully my relationship with God is growing stronger, and that is really precious, but I do wonder what exactly His plans for me look like. I will keep trying to know Him better and experience more and more of what He's calling me to, and we'll see where that takes me. Seek mentorship, invest in yourself, read the book, 'buy the chair', etc. I like to begin with the end in mind. Timing counts, Unbelief in yourself. Take yourself seriously. Get a good routine. Invest in yr health.

Ok, I heard this last July, but It's hitting me in a different way this morning.... I LOVE that your kids do the same thing as mine and yes, Jesus is speaking to me all over your youtube today, sorry for commenting on so many of your posts today :) lol. God specifically told me this year for many of my dreams, that it is just not my season yet... its not time yet. I have such a heart for Women's min at my church and the more I try, the more it just doesn't work.... and also for connecting women pastors in my area... and I have wanted to do it from the beginning but a sense of "I can't' took over, I wondered if it was just not for me because I am not as strong a personality as others.... I wanted to have done so much more by now, I thought I was unnecessary. But This year, God has settled my heart. actually its ok. In fact this year alone, The door is just opening before me... opportunities to connect pastors I never thought would come are, so now I'm just waiting for God's timing in my own house.... my own church. ALLL of what you spoke here, God has been working in me this year. Just thankful for the confirmation this morning.
