1st level. Trying to move on but it takes patience ! I am a fast rider so i rush then forget. Im tsking lessons now so unfortunately cant do the class. I have purchased several classes from Amelia! She is fantastic!!!

hi. regular watcher. have a new OTTB and will be stating intro level tests with him. (Based in UK) his canter trans is still a bit wonky so walk/trot tests to start him off, to get out and allow him to take in atmosphere whist work is still easy for him

I hadn't planned on showing this year, but just found out my lesson barn is doing a fun show in August. So I signed up early to make sure I could ride my favorite school horse! I have no clue what classes we'll be doing or what are even offered. It will be my very first show ever! Any tips or advice on choosing what classes to enter? I'll ask my instructor of course, but we're also about to be changing instructors so that will complicate things a bit.

Have fun! I always like to enter classes a level lower than what I'm schooling at home so it's something I know I can set my horse and I up for success. Have a great time!

@@AmeliaNewcombDressage That's very helpful! So we'd probably just want to stick to a walk/trot dressage class then and maybe ground poles or small crossrails if we do any jumping! Thank you! :)

I have a question. Should i tight or gripping my thighs while ridding with or without stirrup in trot and canter?

you shouldn't be using your thighs to grip or balance in the saddle, but you will use them for half-halts and turning.
