How can this work with married couples (with kids) who’ve separated? Difficult to pull back with kids involved and she paying her own bills

We've been separated for years, and I was over giving during that time, so I had to set boundaries with the ex. The kids are being taken care of, but I noticed I was enabling her entitled behavior.
