Man I just bought a whole setup and did my first ever gun paint job in a DIY booth. As soon as I started the job I realized the world of difference between aerosol and gun jobs. I would've been totally lost without your channel and the great videos you put out. I got a couple particles that landed in the clear but I should be able to sand and buff those out no problem. I seriously couldn't have done it without your videos. You had a video or videos that answered just about every question I had, showed how to fix errors like runs and particulate, and most of all reminded me to relax- afterall it's just paint! Overall I'm very stoked with how it came out- nice OEM orange peel with a smooth high gloss finish. Thanks again Brian!

@anonimous2451Күн бұрын
Funny how perhaps you did not see how he said in a different video how having a paint correction associate is Team #2 in the process of painting. The don't over-think it is a very over simplification of a complex issue. Painting is NOT just about the paint.
@walleboКүн бұрын
@@anonimous2451 Agreed, painting can be very complex. I take "Don't overthink it" as one being allowed to have fun while painting. I used to paint many years ago when the only choices were lacquer or enamel/acrylic enamel and the Binks Model 7 was king. I did it as a hobby and only took jobs that I wanted to have some fun. It was never about the money for me.
@anonimous2451Күн бұрын
@@wallebo Fun in painting is when EVERYTHING goes right, which almost never happens, but, the fun is learning to deal with the "issues". Not sure about you but blowing 1000-3000 in paint to have it go horribly wrong is not fun. Just saying. When ya got skin n the game changes EVERYTHING.

@stipq076 yeah I've had body guys do that a bunch of times. They didn't notice there was damage on both sides of the car. And the damage they repaired was worse then what was supposed to be repaired. My worse mistakes was forgetting to put hardner in the single stage paint. I think I've did it 2 or 3 times in my 25 years of painting. The way it happens is your mixing the paint and someone asks you a question or you get called to the office and forget all about it.
