Why does no one talk about The Hidden Ones DLC for Origins, only The Curse Of The Pharaohs gets talked about, The Hidden Ones not only gave us the origin for one of the three tenets of the creed, but had one of the most powerful moments in AC history

AC Unity's Dead Kings DLC gotta be the best for me. Arno's character development felt really strong here, refinding his purpose in life, and love (altough not in a romantic way). You can really feel the transition from depressed and skeptical Arno after losing everyone into caring and wise Assassin.

Jack the Ripper is and was my favorite assassins creed dlc and still holds up today wish we got more like this!

Im sorry but jack the ripper is the worst dlc ever. Jack the ripper has a bloody bag on his head, a grappling hook that comes out of nowhere, no gauntlet or anything, and his identity is "jack the lad." That dlc added no new map, and didnt even change the existing map to fit the 1888 setting. Literally the map didn't line up with history. Hell, the snow didnt even land, and robbert topping was still just stood there not having aged a single day since 1868... Jacob is wasted and clearly shown to be the better fit for the story and tone of jack the ripper. In the opening mission, Jacob is clearly shining as a character and he manages to be the best character in the entire dlc, with only a few minutes of screen time... In contrast Evie is now the protagonist and she's even more bland and hypocritical then she already was. There are no new weapon types or gameplay features, apart from a fear system that is just a more simple version of the fear system that already exists in base game syndicate and the dead kings dlc. Because the story is a waste of jacob and jack the ripper, the story has near to nothing to offer. The tone and soundtrack are better but that really is it. Jack the ripper is only loved because of people who are shallow enough that having a female assassin as the lead sold them on the dlc. I mean jack the "lad" has a gang, and a grapple hook. It's like a child's writing. I respect that this is just my opinion, but I can't stand the absolute waste of my favourite assassin's creed game, that jack the ripper made.

@@chrischrisdaman Legacy of the First Blade connects Odyssey and Origins through the use of a baby. Without the possibility of a baby being conceived (i.e if Alexios/Kassandra wasn't straight) the stories wouldn't connect without the dlc getting a major rework story wise

The most interesting thing I found out watching this, was that in the hidden blade dlc for odyssey, Darius actually uses the blade the same way Evior prefers to use it. Before Bayek’s chapter of the creed required the severing of the finger.

Honestly, I think that just about every AC dlc is absolute gold. My exceptions being Jack the Ripper, Curse of the Pharaohs, and The Tyranny of King Washington. Those three I just have my own issues with.

Jack the Ripper for me is...alright. I enjoyed both Curse of the Pharoahs and Tyranny of King Washington. Come to think of it, people are complaining about the recent dlcs for the recent AC entries for being too "fantasy like" and not "Assassin's Creed." Did it occur to them that the whole fantasy like element existed as early as Tyranny of King Washington with those animal spirit powers?

I never understood the hype around Jack the Ripper. It's slow, comes to a halt too many times at the investigation scenes, there's little stealth, a lot of the locations feel samey because of the re-skinned areas from the base game, and the Jack the Ripper character wasn't interesting to me. Dead Kings however was the opposite. It's fast, it feels like it celebrates what AC is all about, stealth, parkour and exploration altogether in one amusement park of a send-off to Unity.

I loved the Jack the Ripper DLC in AC Syndicate but the only problem I had with it was how easily Jacob got the crap kicked out of him and only being able to use Evie but ultimately I did really like the DLC more than most all of them, Dead Kings in AC Unity was really fun too. However, the most recent one I played was AC Valhalla Wrath of the Druids which I enjoyed being able to see Ireland and all.

Not only does it give an extremely powerful moment, but it also gives the origin of one of the three Assassin Tenets thus extending the story!!

AC was like storytelling of history and the character you play. Now they are just using it's name to sell their new RPG games. In terms of story and character Origins was the last AC while in terms of playing Syndicate was the last. Now it's just bland and boring with hundreds of hours. New games are just mix of Witcher/Souls game. Though that's how trends works and new players who started with origins or Odyssey seems pleased with it so who to complain. Will see how it goes in the future. I'm definitely fan of old AC games but glad to see someone actually acknowledging that newer games are anything but AC.

@@franks2796 reason is simple, because it's trending. This is like why other MCU movies from phase 3 got box office of 1-1.5 billion while Avengers endgame crossed 3 billions. It's all about creating hype and let them follow trends. Fans of old AC don't really bother with this stuffs and even if they complain it's not like it will do anything. RPG is the most popular genre along with FPS. But problem with FPS is that you can't make campaign of hundred hours and RPG type system won't work great with it. They'll have to rely on battle Royal or PvP. While RPGs it's easy to add quests and stupid stuffs to make campaign hundred hours long. It's open world with new graphics are eye candy. makes it MMO and you can easily makes it thousand hours game from hundred. Add some more mods, bosses and it becomes perfect recipe for success if do it good. AC name already became famous while they are like pro with beautiful historic settings open world. Throw in things from The Witcher/Souls games. Newer generation prefer to play 1 game for 100 hours rather than 10 games for 10 hours as everyone wants to more from things they like.

imo Fate of atlantis is by far the best dlc in the whole franchise. i did like wrath of the druids, and it's probably the best valhalla dlc, but i think legacy of the first blade is still a little bit better than wrath of the druids.

The only thing I disliked about the wrath of the druids was it was WAY under my level. By the time I bought it (I was almost finished the base game so I was like I'll get it when the main story is done) I was a level 400+ (don't remember the specifics) where as the dlc was 50 - 60 so I breezed through it and all its bosses

Three story expansions, new game modes like river raids and tombs of the fallen, the seasonal events, new weapons and armor sets, etc. So I don't know why people say it sucked.

How is siege of Paris not in this list? I preferred that over wrath of the Druids. You actually got to do assassination missions. And as far as Dawn of Ragnarok goes, I can’t even bring myself to finish it. I’m just a couple of hours in, and I find it boring, and bloated. But my favorite has always been the Da Vinci disappearance. Bonfire of the vanities will always be cool too, because it was all about assassinations. I can’t remember what it was called right now, but the dlc for Revelations where you played through the memories of Subject 16 has some of the best writing in the whole series and is so depressing but with a very well told story.

Which ones? The wolf/bear/eagle powers? Those were in an alternate universe and i don't think the willow tea was real or would work in the main ac3 world. it's not like he drank from a tree of eden or something like that that changed his blood to something similar of kassandra/alexios/eivor, and he also doesn't usually pocess a piece of eden to activate said powers.

Honestly, I think I've liked every single Assassin's Creed DLC we've gotten. The only one I wasn't too big a fan of was Jack the Ripper. Mostly due to how slow it was and the investigation moments breaking up the flow of gameplay, but otherwise I think the other DLCs are great! And yes, that means the Valhalla ones as well. I know the fan base says they're "terrible", but I completely disagree. I loved them! Especially Dawn of Ragnarok. I'd say Dawn of Ragnarok is in my top five with Curse of the Pharaohs being number one for me. I know people don't like the newer ACs and their DLCs. That's fine, I guess, but I still love them! Fate of Atlantis might also be in my top five as well.

In AC Brotherhood book by Oliver Bowden he writes all the stories included in the game plus all that happened between 1503 to 1507. In this period of time the Da Vinci dessapearence also takes place. He also writes about what Ezio saw from the apple of Eden about Cesares escape from Pope's Julius 2nd prison. Pietro freed Cesare. This lore really made me wish we could really assassinate Pietro in sequence 7.

Better than the main Valhalla game you mean? Well it focuses more on the mythological aspect so if you like that better...However starting just the DLC you'l miss out on some context that the main game offers.

For the record, I've played all those games you mentioned so I know you're talking out your ass if you say those games don't have repetitive gameplay stretched for hundreds of hours
