So far living here was the best decision that me and my wife make 17years ago and we are from NYC 5 months of hot weather but then the rest of the year is beautiful ,clean freeways, nice landscaping all over the valley, and a blue sky 365 days a year, cost of living is cheap comparing to NYC but you can make a good living here ,move to places like chandler,Gilbert ,Tempe ,Scottsdale ,ahwatukee they are family oriented and beautiful places to live don’t listen too much of the B/S that people said about this state, I’m happy here with my family no regrets.

The high rent's are because California Investors bought most of the apartment complexes and are building more. Net result is out of state greedy investors are controlling the rents. I'm Disabled, a Veteran, and have been homeless for two years. I'm not a drug addict, just lost my housing two years ago when the apartment complex I was living at in Mesa Arizona was sold to a buyer in Toronto, who promptly notified the tenants living with Section 8 or VASH assistance they had the option to move out or pay full market value rent without assistance. I found while looking for a place to move to, that most low income housing in my area was eliminated in this same fashion by greedy investors and was unavailable to find another place to live. I bought an old van on payments and was forced to start living in it. I did so for a year and was offered a tiny fiberglass trailer on payments. I found that the person I bought it from had mislead me on a clear title, and have had difficulty getting it registered and legal to tow. I have been stranded at a Recreation Area, above Kingman Arizona for seven months now trying to get repairs done to my van. It is no longer safe to drive, and definitely not suitable to tow my trailer. It has been a living hell, upto 128 degrees at times this summer, now dealing with freezing cold at night and heavy winds. Every time I try to get some repairs made, something comes up. I bought a used generator which failed in a couple weeks, had to buy another one, then my emotional support dog Archie was badly bitten and required veterinary care, my air conditioning compressor failed in my Van, I cut my knuckle to the bone and ligaments on some glass discarding some trash which resulted in an Emergency Room Visit. I have been trying to get help, and have not had much success. I was accepted for PATH Rapid Rehousing through the Catholic Charities, but have searched all over Mohave County but found I cannot afford an apartment on my disability income. I have been looking for a room for rent, but no luck. So now I'm in a panic as I was notified by the Catholic Charities Caseworker handling my information, had their computer stolen and now my personal information has been compromised. I am on a waiting list for Section 8, basically started over. I did not choose to be in this homeless situation, and have been doing my best to deal with everything I have experienced the past 2 years. I had to literally give everything I owned away when I lost my apartment EVERYTHING!, I did try and keep my many tools, but those to were lost to a "friend" who was going but keep them until I get settled, but would never respond to my calls or texts. I am absolutely sick of my life. I don't live anymore, I merely exist, and it's not much of an existence at that. I have not showered in nearly 8 months, and haven't bathed in over two years since losing my apartment. My teeth are broken, many missing, and I broke another one recently, not looking forward to the toothache that's coming. I am nearly blind in one eye and can only see clearly with glasses, but I lost one of the lenses. I have reached out to every VA organization or service center I know of for help, but am ineligible. I worked for the Air Force starting my senior year of high school, as a civilian employee and for the next decade. I also simultaneously served 6 years in the Air National Guard, and was honorably discharged, but still don't meet the requirements as I was on active duty for well over a year with Avionics Technical School, and was activated during Desert Storm, but could not deploy with my unit, as I was a 3 level technician straight out of school. I have no family for support, no friends, only a few people I have met while being homeless. I have had a fellow vet brings some water bottles and food items several months back, and just today was given a propane tank, heavy sleeping bag, and nice winter coat by Catholic charities, these were definitely a blessing and will definitely help, but I don't see how I can ever get out of my situation as my limited income doesn't suffice to handle the many needs I currently have trying to get out of my homeless situation along with handling my major dental problems, lack now of a safe vehicle, and trailer registration. Any day the area I am staying may be closed, the BLM Rangers have told me they plan to close access to this Recreation Area soon. I will be in an Emergency Situation when they do, and have no idea yet what I will do.

All the places they mentioned are way more expensive than just living simply in Phoenix. Not to mention the commute and the gas money if you need to work in Phoenix. Most places on the outskirts of Phoenix that are considered top places to live are going to cost you more. But if you come from a place where the cost of living was high then I guess this could be a good deal for you. The places they picked are good for jobs, family and safe but they need to remove affordable because that’s not true.

Many of the 10 locations -- those around Phoenix or Tucson -- are unbearably hot from late May until late October. I am talking heat like you don't think is possible on Earth. Gas is relatively cheap and it is a low tax state. But state services are lacking in several ways. I just sold our 2nd home in the Scottsdale area for these reasons. But from November - April, Phoenix & Tucson are very, very nice! January is the month for all of the wonderful car auctions which I enjoyed for 20+ years. Flagstaff & Prescott are nice year-round. Payson is also nice, but there is not much in the way of restaurants & medical services. I know folks who live there but have to drive to Phoenix for good medical care from specialists. Sedona USED to be a beautiful place until it was overrun by the tourist industry. Every time I visit Sedona, I like it less. All said & done, I am glad I don't own a home in Arizona any longer. It was fun for a few years, but it was time to get out!

Very interesting. Since California is supposed to be so horrible. And in some ways it is. But I’m looking to buy a mobile home because that’s all I can afford in Arizona. And I’m not even looking in a fancy place. Sounds wrong with this picture.

Peoria is a great place to raise children.. when youre raising them to be citizens that is. Theres MANY places for them to get their 1st job at age 14 and 7 months or however old they have to be now lol teaching them the responsibility of Adulting and how to be accountable. Guiding them towards a successful, confident life with MANY GREAT memories

Can you help me to immigrate to Canada to settle there? Companions of my small family, I am a married woman and I have a baccalaureate child and I studied two years in the media. I have mastered the making of sweets and I do the henna engraving. Please help you in finding a contract to migrate to Canada.

Yeah most of these if you can tolerate living in a huge megalopolis. They just kept expanding the Phoenix area outward. And if you can tolerate having a home with no land, tiny backyard with a block wall around it, glorified prison's to me. I live near a smaller town south of Phoenix, live on 1 & 1/4 acre, and have a recreational 40 acres out next to mountains with access to a 3,000 ranch, all so beautiful. Living smashed together with others would soon kill me, but with so much land to roam & enjoy, for me that is by far not only the best place to live, but the best way to live. Enjoying nature in all it's glory, untouched by humans.

There's not enough water in Arizona. Arizona is in a drought and can not support more growth. And Oro valley sucks.

Currently in Oregon. It’s beautiful here but often cold and gloomy. The weather is not too extreme but the constant cloudiness can cause seasonal depression. We’ve considered coming to Arizona to establish and raise our family with affordable housing. What place do you most recommend in or near the Phoenix area?

Jason Stephens, hate to break it to you, but, they're blocking the Sun in AZ. I moved here from Philly in 96 and it helped my seasonal depression. Not anymore. We hardly have Sun. It's blocked by chemtrails. The skies are ugly now and dangerous. Everyone I know here who had bloodwork has a very dangerously low Vitamin D level. Mine is 11. Lately, everyone is sick here too. 5G is everywhere. Smart meters were all ordered to put up by 2020. So much for opting out. If anyone denies chemtrails, research. Our governor's office admitted it, but, has no control over it. Also, the stratosphere has been injected over Tucson. david keith's Harvard geoengineering, genocide project, backed by bill gates. We haven't had full Sun in a long time.

Mena Majors How can such things be possible? Right now should be a cooler time of the year anyways right?
@menamajors72954 жыл бұрын
Jason Stephens, believe me it is being done. Our skies are horrible. Only time we don't see chemtrails is right before rain they allow. If they chemtrail before rain, we hardly get any rain. Many people are getting very angry by what they are doing to our sky. Soil has been tested about 8 years ago and contains all these poison chemicals they are spraying. City councils do not listen. City hall pacifies. They know what they are doing. But, it isn't happening just here. I see videos from all over. The UK, Australia, their skies are bad too.

@@RENE-vm8ce LMAO It is WAY too hot. Oppressively hot. I get seasonal affective disorder depression when the heat hits, because of the degree to which it is so oppressively hot. The heat literally almost killed me once during a move. Electricity costs to cool is ridiculous. All major metropolitan areas have no seasons other than summer and "fall", with none of the pretty fall colors, but with the joys of terrible driving by snowbirds that get to escape during the summer, returning instead. The desert landscape is basically beige for as far as the eye can see punctuated by green that really doesn't have it's heart in it. It's kind of annoyed that it has to go the effort of producing chlorophyll to be green. It would much rather sleep in and be served chlorophyll in bed that some other plant living in a more hospitable state made. So it is kind of an army "green". Up North is great but very expensive and too expenive for most people of average means to be able to live there.

Good ideas-they give information-we’ll organized. I made Arizona videos too & put them on KZbin. Search with my name & Arizona places like Yuma, Colorado River, Phoenix, Quartzsite, etc. Information giving is your strength. Too many videos show scenery only or talk about personal camping like eating, walking the dog, etc. I hope to make my videos more like yours-information-giving.
