I think with the green thwomp in Mario Kart 64 it was too easy to get distracted and go on in there and get crushed, so they just blocked him off but still kept him in there.

@@spudbone2003 It's because Marty the Green Thwomp betrayed Bowser: Super Mario 64 Tick Tock Clock, Mission 4: Stomp On The Thwomp. The Thwomp helped Mario and Bowser snapped out of it, he's a prisoner for eternal punisment, so don't mess with the King

It's my headcanon that Sarasaland has been destroyed by Tatanga after Mario and Daisy flew away in their plane. Daisy lives in the Mushroom Kingdom, probably in a painting of Shifting Sand Land in Peach's castle, and she competes in sports, party games, and races, as a way to cope with the loss of her Kingdom.

There's some incorrect information in this video. The Koopalings were retconned to NOT be Bowser's kids several years ago. They're just commanders of the Koopa Army now. Canonically, Bowser Jr. is his only kid now. Also, despite how it DOES look like Peach rules the Mushroom Kingdom, her father was around in early forms of Mario media in the 1980s/early 1990s. I don't think King Toadstool has been seen since then though. I feel like this was probably worth mentioning in the video.

You do realise principalities exist, right? Sovereign states can and are ruled by princes and princesses (just look at Monaco, an independent state that's ruled by a prince). There's no reason why Princess Peach cannot rule the Mushroom Kingdom (whose name might be a throwback from a previous state when it had a king, or simply a translation issue) while still being a princess.

wish mario brought back cutscenes like sunshine/the gamecube sports games awesome intros. :3 with princess peach with how the king was in the old comics.....can see why it's only her.(that and the disney princesses/zelda are seen without kings in some yet are still called that,same for daisy.) really want sarasaland(& especially princess daisy.:3) to come back in the 3d games already as along with isle delfino it was going to be in odyssey with daisy searching for the moons.(would've preferred luigi helping her/2p than a minigame.) think with the trees they're just objects that nintendo definitely had fun with later on making them a lurking legend. is sad that rosalina's family is likely dead from how she went away for 100 years though at least has her friends(especially as she was originally going to be related to princess peach.) and lumas. bowser jr. was confirmed to be bowsers son(we don't know the mario bros. true parents and with miyamoto's anwser like to think her created jr. for him.) with the koopalings being minions he views as children(like to think he adopted them to keep jr. company in the earlier games.). loved the humans in tennis/golf and would rather have them over generic enemies/the more out of place new donkers in the sports games with how bare and generic it's gotten. love mario maker had fun with the bottomless concept/is the same for other scrolling games like megaman or castlevania. love the anime movie's explanation that they are also the coins and took it more the special blocks are the toads trying their best to support you,turning back when the adventures over.(if not mario & luigi should be the richest men enough to have wario after them with the coins they've gotten.)

8:28 I'm so sick of this urban legend. Yes, the Toads were turned into blocks, but Page 8 of that very same manual says: “If you come across Mushrooms [Toads] who have been turned into bricks or made invisible [Hidden Blocks], they reward you by giving you a power boost [power-up]”. Meaning only blocks that give you items are Toads, and those blocks don't break. The others are just normal bricks. This fact is even referenced in the Mario OVA, The Great Mission to Rescue Princess Peach, where rescuing the Toads who have been transformed and getting power-ups from them is a major plot point
