just turned 30. Due to circumstances out of my control, I had to start over from scratch at the beginning of this year. New career, new city, new home and zero savings. only thing that I can say is a big plus is I am almost have no debts. This channel is really a big factor in the fact that I am somewhat confident that I can still make it and achieve any financial goals even though I feel I am having a really late start compared to other people I know. Thanks Chelsea. ❤TFD

Now that I'm leaving my 30s, it's been fantastic! Establishing financial discipline early is crucial. You'll likely have more disposable income, but also increased financial responsibilities.

I turned 50 this summer and still don't feel "old." Though I have been actively reminding myself that given overall family history I am over halfway through life. Which means I am making sure even moreso to do all the things I want to do and stop saying later or maybe someday.

Clicked, saw Chelsea, instant like, but also I do sincerely appreciate the more specific shorter vids. Referring to 19:00 I'm in my early 20's I do not view anyone on the channel as being removed from me because of their age. Y'all are spitting facts! My peers and I are trying to envision where we want to be at 30 and so on and trying to take on a healthy view of life.

i turn 30 next year, and just had my 29th birthday yesterday here in australia. this is so timely! the part about ageing and "feeling old" is so true. i nearly died a few times in hospital in 2020 at 25, after getting a stomach tumour removed. so i know how short life can be, and don't give a fuck about aging now like tiktok (that i dont actually have) seems to shove down people's throats.

When I was a CNA, I bought cheap shoes from Wal-Mart and Stuff and they were uncomfortable and my feet hurt and my knees hurt and my back hurt and then I bought actual nursing shoes and they lasted a long time and I wasn’t in pain and I wasn’t getting massages and adjustments.

I'm 32 as of this September, but turning 30 was really a slap in the face. It was a completely unceremonious day, puncuated by nothing but a trip to the DMV to renew my license and tags. The one friend I had made plans with to celebrate bailed on me, and my family all live out of state and are pretty emotionally distant, so I really had to sit with myself and think about many of the things you mentioned here, from who I choose to associate with, to what my future would hold in terms of career and finances. Your segment about inertia is truly on point, since it took a lot of struggling through repeated disappointments and the universe going from wispering to shaking my shoulders and screaming in my face to make a lot of important changes. I'm happy to say that in just two years, virtually everything in my life has turned around for the better, and although it didn't come without some serious trials or any cost, I don't have so many regrets or hangups about my choices now.

I’ve been noticing my friends changing for the better and it’s been scaring me because I don’t know if I fit in with their worlds anymore. I’ve been panicking about it a lot recently wondering how I can fast track my growth to reach up with them.. but I know ultimately I’m on my own journey and I can’t hold on to what is coming to a natural end.

Hey Chelsea, I know you're obviously American and so is most of your audience and so this type of oversight is incredibly common and in no way does it make me less interested in you as a long time subscriber. However, being Portuguese, I am always on the lookout for "only available in the US" or the beautiful but incredible rare "available worldwide" when it comes to sponsors. Since I didn't hear it or see it in the description I went to the site, started filling in the info (since the website here also doesn't state regional info) only to get to the question "where do you live? (We can currently only work with US citizens.)" Still an expected outcome in my experience, but as it wasn't stated upfront and clearly, I still spent some time getting hyped about a fruitless avenue. So as a humble international listener, I would just ask that you include what regions your sponsor is available in, in the future. Thanks and keep up the great work! As a 31 yo, I loved this video and it validated a lot of my own thinking along the same lines of feeling like a "full" adult who for the "first" time has enough knowledge, self-awareness and intention to construct a life of my own choosing rather than stay on the rails I had been in for most of my life previously.
@thefinancialdiet6 сағат бұрын
Thank you for sharing and that's good feedback we will note! I'm sorry this one doesn't work in the EU, but other sponsors we have do and we can be clearer about it!

I'm getting to the point where I feel like I really just have to let go of any idea of how things are supposed to be or where I am supposed to be at. I'm not going to really retire in the traditional sense. I am not going to have wealth like previous generations. I am not going to have security like my parents. My experience is going to be very different. My struggles are going to be different. I have to live with less expectation and less attatchment. It's just the way it is. In a way it's better. It's a more spiritual existence. In another way it's more stressful and materially difficult. Ultimately, just different

Do you have a video for being diagnosed with a disease or cancer or something? I just got diagnosed with Hidradenitis Suppurativa and I’m trying to figure out how this affects my health insurance, my job, my finances, my retirement, my credit score… I’m single and 36. It’s an incurable disease that gets worse over time, so I’m probably going to miss work and have medical bills and need help from family and friends. I am trying to be proactive.

My 31st birthday was last week and I have to say I do feel younger than I did ten years ago. Even though, I’m doing the best I can with my financial situation, let alone my college debt and mental health, I’ve never been this okay with myself. But with that being said, comparing my situation to others my age is such a struggle 😫.

I can't _staaaaand_ those "How I saved [large sum] by [late 20s]" articles. every time - with *_extremely_* rare exceptions - it's just children of affluence getting highly paid "Bullshit Email Jobs" (not my terminology, just a popular framing) at a company owned by their dad or another family member

I turned 30 during covid, and honestly, it felt like I missed 2 years of my life thanks to covid. What bad timing. But I'm over 30 now, and except for generally more old people problems, I don't feel much different. I did start taking my finances way more seriously than I already do, thanks to watching lots of retirement and financial videos in the past 2 years. For Face care: Beyond the typical "eat healthy and exercise", just use the basics: Toner, Moisturizer, and Sunscreen (anytime you go outside on a sunny day). The two biggest damaging things to your face is UV radiation and dry skin. If you protect it from those, you protect your face from 99% of face skin damage and your face will naturally age better. Anti-aging cream won't really do anything to help healthy skin and most likely won't show any affects for anyone below their mid 40's who's always used the above 3 things.

25:00 this is interesting, I just saw a study which found that in my country, the demographics that most frequently buy from Temu, Shein and other really harmful Chinese sites that for example support ultra fast fashion, are boomers and gen X. Younger generations know better to steer well away from them but it's the older people who are falling prey to low prices and marketing on social media.
