Yeah, Griffin was such a stable of the UFC and such a good guy. I think he should have been able to get away with stuff like that. I too thought right after the fight that Hendricks was the clear winner, but watching the fight again months later, it was much closer than I first remembered. I could see the judges calling it for GSP because the later rounds were clearly his and Hendricks was clearly going to lose if there were more rounds than 5.

In order to have a defensible claim of fair use of the copyrighted content, a creator has to do two things: Limit the use of the copyrighted content to a very small percentage of the overall content, and provide sufficient commentary as to justify the use of the copyrighted content. That basically means a) very little Dana and b) a whole lot of talking. The more footage he includes (and the less he talks about it), the more likely that he'll get a copyright strike or claim from the copyright holders (taking the money generated by this video and threatening the channel). If that happens, he's got to choose between fighting it (not happening, lawyers are expensive), taking down the video or leaving it up and letting someone else have all the money. Copyright holders give ZERO FUCKS about claiming shit even when the claim ISN'T legit, and UFC in particular is very active in protecting its rights (not to mention entirely capable of financially outpacing anyone who decided they'd fight it). If you want to watch the clips, you'll have to go find them on a channel that either owns them or doesn't give a shit about getting sued or losing ad revenue. Them's the breaks.

I still don't know why he was so enraged about Hallman's shorts. I don't see how it's any worse of theater than anything else. When I watched it I didn't even know or think of it as completely outside the wheelhouse of what might be appropriate for the sport; if you don't know that you're not "supposed" to wear it you don't really even notice what the man is wearing. Wasn't Joe Son wearing similar attire when he got punched in the balls that one time? Anyway, given that now they have completed the journey from UFC1 to out and out uniforms, maybe this was an important insight into how their mentality regarding regimentation of attire vs individual personality and style.

I honestly stopped watching UFC back when Silva was getting popular. They kept giving him fights. Constantly giving him opponents that were either a really good match for him and bad for them, (usually guys that were not even top level fighters to boot), or injured/ retired etc... He got a huge undeserved ego. Started acting like a disrespectful ass. And all because he was handed fights... He had no ground game. He was only half a fighter. If you took him down, his only response was to try and get back up. It was pathetic what they were doing for him, just because he was popular, but not actually good. While at the same time they were always screwing over the ground game people. Then when they started standing up fighters, that was it. It stopped being real fights like it started and became brain dead punchers only . Nobody stands you up on the streets. Not to mention any moron can punch. Babies literally know how to punch. It takes skill to grapple. Screwing over the hard working grapple guys just because the audience was too stupid to know they didnt buy a boxing ticket, ruined MMA. What made the UFC amazing was fights like Royce Gracie v Kimo. That little guy used his skill to take down a giant powerhouse. Now they piss on the little guy, skew all the rules to favor the bigger striker who usually doesnt have any skill. Strikers CANT have much skill. they get their brains beat out. They have very short careers. Thats not sustainable. That is not how any intelligent person wants to fight because you dont ever win like that. You just become a brain dead fool drooling on yourself until an early death. Thats not winning. The UFC is a JOKE now. Bring Grappling back. You want to see a knockout? go to a boxing match.
@TheRubberMatch4 жыл бұрын
Terry Fulds I suggest you start watching again if you’re gonna say some moronic shit like that. Some of the best fighters today are wrestlers who focus on ground and pound like Khabib and Usman. Stand ups don’t occur nearly as much as they used to. MMA has evolved, you can’t just be a ground expert anymore. Look what happened to Ben Askren. You need to be a complete well rounded fighter nowadays. It’s ironic you insult mma fans being too stupid to know what they’re watching on the ground, when in fact you are too stupid to understand the technicalities of advanced striking. Go watch A breakdown of Israel adesanyas fight style if you want to attempt to understand that striking is just as much an art as BJJ or wrestling
@jonathanbradley48964 жыл бұрын
@@terryfuldsgaming7995 They weren't giving him easy fights, there just was no depth to the 185 division at the time. All the good fighters were at 155, 170, and especially 205. This is why I refuse to put Anderson in GOAT discussions. Along with the fact he got popped for steroids a couple times. He was good, of course, and his style and flair made him exciting to watch when he was in the zone, but he fought a lot of mid tier fighters. He doesn't belong in GOAT discussions with GSP, MM, Aldo, Jones or Fedor. Had he gone up to 205 back in his prime and faced guys like Rampage, Shogun, Machida, Rashad etc and beat them, then he'd be a worthy GOAT front runner, but as it stands, I personally find Anderson Silva to be the most over rated MMA fighter of all time.
