Great interview and great answers by Dominic as you would expect

Absolutely love it. Just wanted to chime in with the suggestion that; if you do a face stream, even if it is a zoom recording the views will double. I don't really care either way since I listen to while working but it's just something I have noticed.

Excellent thank you. Love the idea of PM Top Trumps. Criteria like Longevity, Common Touch, and Fiscal Prudence combined with Old Boy Network and Scandal Rating. Adding Comedy Value to the mix made the Truss Card unbeatable.

Always thought Dominic knew what he was talking about until that Belgian beer nonsense ! On Tudor history, no mention of my favourite who was the daughter of a king, sister, niece, wife, mother and grandmother of a king, and grandmother of two queens.

@@glenbinnie2086 Yes ! A very forgottenTudor ( and Plantaganet ) What a story. A legitimate heir only if you believe her brothers were dead, something for which there is not a shred of evidence.

Starmer wasn't in politics until 2015. Angela Rayonor left school at 15. Rachel Reeves worked for the bank of England. Starmer said there would be no reparations and no apology.

Reeves wasn't very senior at the Bank of England ...

His most overrated British monarch stunned me at first ... then I listened and thought about it. Maybe ... Could Britain's policy toward the US during the Civil War have been different without Victoria? Arguably, yes. The British cabinet was divided on whether to recognize the Confederacy. Victoria, on Albert's advice I'm sure, made an end-run and informed the new US ambassador that her government would not recognize the Confederacy. The Trent Affair followed months later, and it was Victoria's intervention - again, on Albert's advice - that averted a conflict between Lincoln and the British government.

So agree, Victoria was nothing really....
