The axe's runic attack you get in raven's chest deals a lot of damage to sisters (almost half of their hp bar) and also for the big one. They are at half of their hp at the start of the fight

What made Heimdall's fight so good to me was how he was portrayed in the fight. Clearly he hasn't had to legitimately fight someone in a long time if ever since by the end of the fight his attack are anger fueled, reckless and ironically predictable to me. Even at the beginning of the fight you can see it when Kratos attacks him. First volley - Wide arced punches, Second faster more concentrated, and finally third is when he can tell how much actual fighting experience Heimdall actually has and considering how he acted like Kratos wasn't allowed to hit him, it isn't much. In short he relied way to much on his prediction ability and without it he never stood a chance.

What I LOVED about it was kratos was trying not to intervene with the gods etc, but since his son is involved he put everything aside to protect his son no matter the cost.. it just happened to start a war lol

They were right, that spear was really tailored to Heimdall's defeat. He's the only boss to get stunned by a spear that's a few feet away. Try that with Thor and he'll hit you with a ⚒️

To be fair I haven't had a real challange like in GoW 2018. I beat GNA quite easily comparing to what I have endured with Sigrun... Spent good hours battling Sigrun where with GNA on my first attemp I've taken 3/4 of her life. I'll wait for Game Plus on Hard to see if perhaps GNA lives up to the expectations.

It was quiet the opposite for me. In the 2018 game by the time you fight Sigrun you had gained experience from fighting 8 different valkaries prior and since her move set is a mix of all the Valkaries before her I was familiar and comfortable with almost all her attacks. With Gna she gave me a lot more trouble since most of my fights were against slow berserkers with fairly telegraphed move sets that her speed and unpredictable moves and how fast they come out was a struggle for me to quickly adapt to

@@mohamadkhawaja9271 Gna had more mix ups. There was one where she closes in and jabs with her wing and another when she closes in with a wide sweep into a combo. The wing jab you have to dodge to the right and the wing sweep you have to block with the shield. The Bifrost is what killed me the most. My muscle memory makes me want to dodge her bifrost projectiles, so I end up getting hit. Once I conditioned myself to block the fast bifrost projectiles and dodge the red ring ones it got a bit easier. She also had the one where she calls multiple beams of bifrost from the sky that can nail me at close range.

@@TheOmegaDragon 💯 on point bro. She never stuck to a complete pattern. To add to what you already mentioned,also with her “cower before me”move she’ll do it followed by another 1 or she’ll do it followed by a spin attack that you have to block. The Valhalla attack sometimes she does 3,sometimes 2,sometimes 1 ect and like you said,her projectiles is also what destroyed me early on as well. Both come out so fast and you don’t even get to see if it’s the red attack projectile or if it’s the blockable 1. To add to the pain they also look similar,rainbow looking mofuckers and curved looking. No joke I spent the first 45 minutes on my backside in disbelief going wtf is going on haha. 45 minutes and was still in the process of learning her patters and second guessing myself. As soon as I realised you cannot range her and have to glue yourself close in melee with her and not let her breath or out of your sight I destroyed her. When I got her I had her aced all the way to her last bar then she landed a hit. 2 and a half hours that fight took me

Honestly, I agree. I spent a long time on him, and by the end he started spamming his attacks, which I luckily parried with the parry shield every time, so I was extremely relieved to have defeated him, as well as getting the platinum for it, since he was the only boss away from me getting it.

The three berserk challenge and the king are the hardest fights I garuntee you , I died to those two challenges 10 times more than gna , I cooked her after a calm 35 - 40 times , the others I had to go a good couple hours and do a couple side quests before I can cook them .

Despite Gna being terribly difficult at level 8 I had no choice but to leave it till last as it was intended, but for me it only took 3 tries to beat her, but took way more attempts to beat the Berserker King and for me that was the most difficult followed by the fight against the 3 Berserkers.

@@daddychill8924 Yeah hopefully. I think it was probably easier (in my case anyway) as I was fully maxed by the time I faced her and had Freya maxed out too. I'd love if they added the option to replay boss fights repeatedly if/when they add NG+ as I'd love to try out different builds on them without having to replay the game all over again or have tons of different save files.

Tbf, Sony Santa Monica have been pretty fan friendly with this whole reboot so I wouldn't be surprised if they added stuff without any mention as a thank you to the fans for supporting it. Pretty gutted that I've got nothing to do apart from try to find purified crystalline (which is impossible) while Kratos is a tank. Was tempted to start a GMGOW playthrough earlier but I think I'll save it for NG+.

I think I found all of them not too challenging, probably because I was grinding for armour and weapon upgrades before further moving on with the story. The only few exceptions I found challenging were some of the Berserkers, Gná and Hrólf, which I tried defeating before/after the story, but they were too strong, so I waited after completing the story, as I stood more of a chance against them later.

That fight pissed me off beyond belief. It's hard when dodging and blocking the main ones' attacks only for an unlockable blast from the others to come, staggers you, and leaves you open to a flurry of attacks that downs you. The only berserker fight I had to leave and level up further before coming back and finishing them, even then taking two more attempts.

Out of all the bosses, Hrist & Mist was the most painful fight I ever had on GMGOW because Hrist keeps using the one-hit kill grab every time I get close to her and it is impossible to dodge when you're right in her face when using the move.

Svipdagar and the Sisters of Illska were by far the hardest for me. Berserker King gave me a lot of trouble and was the most satisfying since Sigrun, while Gna might have been the easiest for me--just identical to Sigrun!

I think what made the fights harder for me was the fact that I was playing for platinum on my first playthrough, so I was just trying to biitz through them and just couldn't get my parry timing down. Now that it's done hopefully I can enjoy them all properly on NG+ and be a bit more relaxed in my approach.

Yeah, King Kraki and Gna were rough about that. For Gna in particular, I think I would do a pretty good job playing a defensive, opportunistic game throughout, but would start pressing as she would get low, which would lead to me getting over aggressive and taking hits I shouldn't have been taking. But when even failed Gna fights were still taking me over 6 minutes, it was hard to stay disciplined and patient as a fight drug on, haha.

@@mobya80 Sigrun actually wasn't TERRIBLE for me... both her and Kraki in Ragnarok only took me 1-2 hours. Kraki got easier once I equipped the enchantment to increase dodge speed/range so I was more successful from escaping his elemental chest bursts. Gna was brutal. 7-8 hours for me. I was hating life so much by the end of fighting her, haha.

Learn her attacks! You have to survive long enough to be able to put her down and being familiar with how to deal with what she throws out is key :3 Then it’s up to you and how you’re comfortable playing. Good luck!

Practice. And take your time. Just have to learn her attacks. One trick to know is that when she goes to her left (your right) you dodge and you could attack. If she goes right (your left) you can either block or parry. Fight becomes way easier when you know this. I also stop caring about dodging her bifrost attack that she does from the tight and then from the left. Just block and get bifrost but it goes away quickly

Only dodge to the right for most of the attacks Take the risk of parrying with the stunn shield because she can be quite easily stunned Dodge the green and pink projectil but block the purple one (bifrost) when she use pink magic shoot her with the pink arrows when she's going to throw the green rock shoot with the green arrows when she does the two elemental attacks that start from the center spin till the edge of the arena don't attack just wait for it to be gon cause they're quite rough and try to stay mid range with her so you can use your shield when she going to do the big aoe

The berserker sisters were hard af for me because I was only lvl 5 when I beat them. I literally destroyed GNA my first try without healing or resurrecting. That King Hrof fight sucked tho. Easily fought him about 15 times before I won. I was lvl 9 when I beat both him and GNA. Can’t wait for new game +!!!

I personally feel the Valkaries weren't as difficult as people expected. Mainly cause they shared 1 health bar so focusing on 1 was enough and if you managed to hit both of them togeather it took a major chunk of their health, so the only challange was reflexes, and God of war, the game it is, forces you to master parrying super early in the game

King Kraki and Gna was rough. Kraki was on the same level as Sigrun from the previous game.... took me a couple hours, but I got him down. Gna.... bloody hell, frakking Gna. She took like 7 or 8 hours over 2 play sessions. By far the hardest time I've ever had with a boss, enemy, level, etc in any game. It didn't help that even a failed attempt was generally taking me over 6 minutes. I got her so close so many times. That was the worst day ever, hahaha.

It would be amazing if we had the Kraken in this game that I think there would be a fight against him in Svartalheim and Midgard It's a shame he didn't put him in this game it would be an incredible fight and I think he could be that Durlin octopus that could come in the future becoming a boss like the Kraken we know and another is what happened to the Dragons we released in the 1st game If they appearing in this game as allies or we can fight against and kill them It would be a cool that's it shame didn't happen Just like the pets of Freyr,Thor and Odin the boar,wolves,goats and horse that did not appear and they were not used in the final battle They would be a great side quest going after them and saving them and seeing them in the game since they are very important to these Gods and not having them is a huge pain and makes no sense... a shame it didn't happen as well not have as many others Norse Kings/Heroes of Norse Mythology and not have more Gods of Asgard & Vanaheim and not have more Valkyries who did not appear In the game they are mandatory to be there It's a big pain in my heart that they weren't put in the game... Because they are very important and should be in the game and this game It had great potential that could be much better with these things and elements for the game's plot and in history what we had in the original who how easily could have put it in the Game but they didn't do that I hope they are included all of this in more story dlcs or the next game I hope that happens 🤔😭😔🤧🙏🙏 like and Bye!

Th AI for bosses in ragnarok was pretty good…for me everytime i figured their move patterns and act accordingly the bosses switched it up a little

Only reason I kept dying to niohogg and Freya was because I was too far from them when they did the signature move my tip to you switch to velour for Freya and save it don't try to beat her completely but try as hard as possible to get to the mini checkpoints

Heimdall is so hard to fight at the start 🤣 i died like 100 times until I realized I need to slow him down with the explosive spears, the fight got way easier when I was actually able to hit him. I thought that was kinda cool and funny 😂

I played on GMGOW,fought the Berserker king at level 6 he was purple bar,fought Gna at level 7 she was purple,fought the triple berserkers at level 5 they were purple and fought the double berserkers at level 4 they were red skulls 1 shot kill. Gna,the triple berserkers and the double berserkers were by far the hardest 3 fights for me. All 3 fights took between 2 to 2 and a half hours to beat. Every other fight was pretty decent,nothing overally hard. I actually found the berserker king to be 1 of the easiest bosses in the game,got him on my 3rd try. The berserker that spawns minions was tougher than the king

I think we have different definitions of hard. After sigrun, gna was easy. Muscle memory kicked in quite quickly

Freya did tell Kratos she would unleash her fury onto him for killing her son Baldur. Promising to make suffer and endure many levels of hell, not an exact quote and not the first time Kratos has been threatened like that.

At level 8 in Give No Mercy, I had to make a health siphon build to beat the Beserker King. I lost more than 50 times against him. Now Gna was hard but I did beat her in less than 20 tries. Gna was fast but easier to parry and dodge some of her attacks. The Beserker B!tch has a weird timing for some of his attacks and some attacks look similar which can confuse you. Additionally, he might not stagger during your runic attacks leaving you wide open for his attacks. Breath of Tamur is deathly as you are just expose sometimes.

Although gna is more difficult than early bosses, you should be maxed out with the best gear/ resurrection stone by the time you fight her. I beat her on the first try, as opposed to the elf librarian. Almost had to reload from a different save spot because you can't leave the building without fighting her and you don't even have the spear let alone both heavy and light runic attacks.

Its Gna 100%. Istg it took me 40+ attempts across 4 days for her alone. Memorising her attacks & acting accordingly was so long. Funnily enough, defeating her made the Berserker King easier to kill in comparison. He did less damage with his attacks & it was abit easier to familiarise yourself with attack patterns. Gna on the other hand, could easily take 75% health with some moves

Many of the berserker battles are way more difficult than any of the main story bosses. Odin, Thor, Garm,....they were pretty darn easy in my opinion.

Gna was such a underwhelming secret boss fight. Sigrun and the Bessemer king were WAY harder. She was really just flashy overall with her moves. I honestly found GNA to be one of the easier boss fights in GMGOW mode.

I remember how satisfied I was to beat Alva. I got thrown in the fight by my son who couldn’t beat her. It took us almost a week to beat her until I stayed home during a Saturday baseball game I concentrate and found how to do the shield break and I got the upper hand. Now the library elf is another fight I don’t want to pick 😂😂😂 they can keep the scroll and hack silver.
