I remember I was super scared towards the end fighting just the sisters because they would just never sit still and I didn't want to take the risk to chase after them to hit them. I think it took me just a little bit longer to beat them than the actual king honestly

on what difficulty? i had almost no trouble by killing the sisters first. you can easily keep them sun locked with all your runic attacks, and just occasionally dodging or parrying when the 3rd wheel decides to hop in. the game becomes much easier the better you get at juggling runic attacks

Big tip. The spear is probably the best weapon in the game with its fast dps. Bias though. If you don't like it i recommend only using it for it's siphon ability. Holding R2 will take an enemies element and make you resistant to it. Used it a lot for bifrost and fire, especially for these bosses.

Spear with the Bonus Damage vs Sonic Status handle is absolutely nuts. Fully upgraded you'll be 1-shotting most minor enemies and hitting bosses almost as hard as your Runic attacks. Even better if you can siphon Bifrost damage, you basically do 300% damage with Maelstrom charged up, Sonic status applied and Bifrost element on the spear.

There is a shield accessory that lets you charge at the enemy by double tapping L1. If an enemy goes into a double blue charge up attack, as long as you start the charge you do not get damaged by their attack even if you don't get there in time. Very helpful for a lot of these fights. I forget the name of it.

The dauntless shield is for the aggressive players you don’t have to be next to the them but you do gotta stay close to them and if you have high defense and put on the svartlheim enchantments and use stun runics they lose health like crazy, everytime they get fully stunned and have a lot of health still they loose a full bar of their health. Huge tip for those of you on GMGOW. Turn off aim assist so it won’t fuck you in the duo/trio fight. Also best armor in my opinion for raw damage has to be Lundas set or the dragon set but only in fights where you’re gonna parry a lot. ( King fight is easy with dragon set)

I tried to take the sisters down first, but got comboed so many times. When concentrating on the main boss first, it was much easier for me to avoid attacks. After the main boss died, dodging the sister's attacks was pretty easy imo. But yeah, I have absolutely no desire to fight them again. King Hrolf on the other hand was a pretty cool and fair fight (alhtough also very hard). There I actually want to go back and try other builds. Did it with Lunda's and want to try like the Dragon armor.

There's an enchantment that increases your dodge distance. Elusive something. Comes in CLUTCH for dodging those annoying unblockables. It's not a must but it makes it so much easier.

The king was definitely a monster. I honestly think the bifrost status is a bit OP on these bosses. The attacks cover your entire health bar and are a death sentence like no other attack if it lands. I found the Guardian Shield to be an absolute must because of how they chain yellow attacks together and it's the only way to break tempo aside from a runic attack.

I just finished GoW on GMGOW difficulty and maybe it's me but the 4th one, "BOLD" one to be precise was the hardest Berserk to defeat because of those mobs he keep respawning. Even those Double/Triple Encounter wasn't that difficult. I don't know why, one of two/three Berserks was fighting me and the other/others were fighting Freya. Still i was very satisfied to achive the Platinum Trophy :) Shield and Spear are OP

I disregarded the Spear my first few hours after obtaining it, but once I got used to it it quickly became my favorite weapon for any and all encounters. I did the King, a few other Berserkers and Gná basically Spear only (switching to Axe occasionally to disrupt AOE attacks). And for every normal enemy encounter I just stick to the Spear entirely as well. It’s such a good weapon, I love it. GMGOW too.

Lunda’s set was only route to take b/c of the poison effect & constant mobs. Taking the eye balls out was a must & using either Atreus or Freya runic ability to wipe them out as quickly as possible. Then Bold the bearded ass is grass. Also yes on GMGOW he was the 5th Berzerker slayed such a pain in the ass.

I recommend you to use Stonewall Shield and Valor when defeating King Hrolf Kraki. I fought him with Vidar's armor set and max upgrade my Leviathan axe and Blades of Chaos. I always use L1+(triangle) on the Blades of Chaos because it deals crazy damage. I don't use the lock mode on the berserker. use my max level realm shift relic which is 5 seconds long. If it's still not enough, put it to "Give Me Story". When fighting the 2 sisters and Svipdagr I recommend you to make Svipdagr's health low. Take down the 2 sisters first and finish Svipdagr. (It's a hard fight.)

These gank fights are absolutely garbage and annoying, relying on rng way too much, the hrolf and the valkayrie fight is way easier than them. I can't remember the number of time I got stabbed in the ass because other enemies are out of my field of view and I wasn't able to see when and what attacks are coming, and just get combo-ed to death. I fought the guy with the sisters right after watching one of the more emotional moments in the game, and all those emotions were just gone in an instant, a big minus on the overall game experience.

I found a way to kill the sister fight pretty easily if you have the realm shift hilt. Essentially run in and get a full combo off on a sister, then pop realm shift and unload, soon as you come out dude is gonna jump on you roll away and hit Atreus wolfs, they distract and interupt long enough to get another full combo on a sister, then just run and hit sister until dude leaps then run past him to hit the other sister Eventually you will get low from getting clipped pop rage and punchy the sister, repeat until you die, pop berserker stone immediate rage and unload on sister and by then they should be dead if you dodged well enough. Killing either sister immediately kills both. With the mages dead the remaining axe weilder is literally the easiest berserker. The fact there is three is the only reason it’s hard. Did this on gmgow btw. Ludas armor. I was level 8 I believe. Hadn’t beaten the game yet.

Lil late to the party but I just beat the Berserkers and Gna myself like 5 hours ago my biggest complaint is how dang evasive they are like holy crap I lost track of how many attempts I utterly failed because they evaded out the exact second I did a runic attack and wasted a cooldown, Good thing I was rocking the most defensive armor in the game combo that will valor at max rank plus the valor enhancement and you pretty much got god mod enabled but despite that these guys still shredded me out of existence especially those magic spamming ones. Lil side note: the King felt damn near impossible until I read a tip on the death screen that says theres an option for mini-boss check points (This is no joke I never once died to anything other than berserker bosses and Gna...ever so I never saw that tip til post-game), that one thing turned my 30+ deaths on the king to a 2-3 attempt run the issue I was bumping into was just being so drained (Mentally with like 10,000 thoughts and inputs racing through my head) in the last health bar then I make a stupid mistake and die. You may think its cheating to enable an option like that but I dont play the game for the gut punching challenge and im a completionist so I HAVE to do the Super Bosses, that said they are remarkably well coded my biggest complaint for the King fight is when he pulled out the duel blades and did the room wide wipe out attack I was never near him....EVER, that and it seemed like 90% of the crap he threw at me was unblockables despite all that I would 100% do these fights again in new game + when or even if that feature gets added.

The beserkers were the equivalent of pontiff sulivan for me. They taught me how to parry and dodge effectively because I wanted their equipment before Brok's canon event and made main quest boss fights ridiculously easy

I agree. The sisters were tough than the brothers. Even though they share same health bars, they’re a nuisance. I use the stone wall shield 🛡️ and build up Permafrost or Immolation to strike them down harder and faster. I also use a couple realm shifts with Radiance gauntlets and and waistband. Use that Alfheim’s amulet for more realm shifts and you’re good.

I can't even beat the first one on the easiest difficulty.......I guess I'm not getting the platinum trophy if I have to beat the king for a trophy. Might as well just concentrate on the story now and forget about the collectibles.

Some of these fights are terribly imbalanced, and it seems like they had no plan for NG+ and just decided to add "hard stuff" for people to bang their heads against. Some of them are brick walls when it comes to health pools and these are FAR harder than most of the Valkyrie fights from the previous game. In the previous game you could essentially kill the Valkyries as soon as you came upon them. Not true with the berserkers, since they require arbitrary power and skill levels to even make a dent. In this game they are either one or two levels higher than you *minimum* when you happen upon them naturally and not "post-game".

Not true. Just do side quests. I haven’t even beaten the game yet I’ve killed every berserker besides the niflheim one for not being unlocked yet and by proxy the king. Highest level diff I had was 1 level above me.

@@derrickpanciera5644 Cool story, yet I've been doing all of the side quests (only three main plot chapters left), upgrading my gear and I'm still stuck at level 5. The next to last fight in this video has purple health bars (2 levels), and the double fight in the Apple Core has RED (3 levels). It literally takes almost a hundred hits to remove a single health bar, and they kill me in 1-2 hits. Playing on No Mercy BTW where levels are raised. Played the last game on that difficulty for my first playthrough and killed all of the Valkyries as I stumbled upon them, which was just over halfway through the main path.

The Sisters fight was a pain at level 6 (came close a few times, but just could not do it at all), but once I went back at level 8 (with 2/3 weapons fully upgraded) and it was a joke. Granted, at that point I had fought them so many times that I knew how to deal with all of their moves and a few mistakes were not too detrimental.

1:16 The move when they jump up and splash down on you while tracking is so annoying. So, I found out instead of timing your dodge you can simply just run away. When they jump up just keep sprinting in any direction.

I honestly feel like the double berserkers were the hardest. The trio was annoying but manageable, and the main berserker of that fight didn’t seem to have much health, and King Hrolf is definitely difficult but he feel fair, compared to the duo where whenever they like, especially mid combo, the other one just decides to hit me and I die. No indicator of what attack they were doing like the trio sometimes has, I just die. One time I was combining the lady one, and the big guy did the aoe attack that I have to shield bash, but he was way behind me. And then after I get hit and almost die, I look and can’t find him. That’s when he does a dash punch completely obscured by his partner and I die without anything I could’ve done. At least the King requires skill and not luck.

I personally found Hardrefill the easiest of them all, since his leaping abilities were easier to predict and react to than Fraekni’s charges for me. Bodvar and Starolphr were the most difficult aside from Hrolf for me. The 3v1 was easier since the twins had shared health bars, so attacking one would hurt the other too

King Hrolf is the only time I used a resurrection stone the entire game. I got real close without it, but that bifrost aura just kept screwing me over, and after like an hour and a half of attempts, I ended up using one

I must say the one with the sisters is the most difficult boss I’ve encountered so far, the light elf at library being the second. I tried so many things but the only thing that worked was rolling a couple times, throwing a spear at the sisters then rolling away from him again. Once i killed the sisters he wasn’t thaaat hard to take down

For some reason I had a really hard time with Beigadr the Feared. The electric ⚡ one. Offcourse the worst was King Hrolf and the one with the sisters Gna was also hard for me. More than Hrolf tbh. She flew around constantly couldn't even get my rage attacks connect

Shjothendi was a pain in the neck with the bifrost honestly the best way to cheese it was max out my rage and whenever I was at risk of losing a lot of health since I'm a terrible player is to use healthstones and heal with rage just to cancel out the bifrost honestly the the king was more of a pain to me to me than the valkyrie queen since Im so used to battling sigrun that when I fought her I took. me less than an 20 mintues to finally beat her the first time unlike the king it took me around 2 hours. At first I was playing it on normal but because Pokemon was almost out I just changed it to story so I can blitz through it and get my platinum. Great Video Love your content

theirs a shield rond that can transfer status effect by shield bashing and it works on bifrost so i would recomend using that on the bifrost guy you get it from a chest on the way to the norns
