Woah, what a bargain! Today I am reviewing and unboxing this $10 phone holder (Update, like $21 now) by a company called Tryone. It has a flexible, gooseneck design measuring at 27.5" inches long, with a 21.5" flexible cable. The included phone mount swivels on a ball joint allowing for endless angles. The metal is strong, and will hold your phone steady. A perfect tool for film makers and consumers alike!

Do you think this could work on bikes? Would the phone fall from the grip thing ? Or would the mount it’s self fall off the handle bar? I’d get a regular one but I can’t get glasses right now and I don’t want to get up close to the screen

I'm really tempted by this an similar products my only concern being the impact on the phone's side buttons - nobody ever seems to mention this, is it an issue? My Xperia L3 has power and volume on the right and I don't want pressure on them. Can anyone shed some light on this?

With my iPhone, you can fit your phone in there without it touching any buttons. I’m sure you could find a way that’d suit your phone

It's very wobbly with movement. Recommend one that has shorter cable in that case.

I can see you have a tripod stand there as well. What's the difference between using a gooseneck stand Vs. Using a tripod for starting off a youtube video?

The gooseneck is great for portability and tight spaces where a tripod would be impractical, however it does wobble some if you aren’t gentle with the table you have it attached too

I think it’ll work no prob even with your case! It may wobble for a bit from the initial weight but given a few secs it should stabilize

@@Brandoview Thanks so much for your quick reply. Hm...wobbling may be an issue, but probably won't be. As it stands I should be getting it this Friday or before it so I'll let you know. The idea is to do Facetime with my students and may need to angle it during the lesson. If all goes well I may just by a usb camera. Thanks again for helping me to make a choice. Before your video I didn't see how it would work as I am using one of those real old 1960's -70's kitchen tables. But then I saw how it could clip on to a computer riser I had previously made. More specifically how tight it could get. I wasn't sure until I saw your video. I am trying to mount it on a rubbermaid board that is half the thickness of your piece of wood. It should work out. @@Brandoview I just received it today 2 days early. I played around with it for bit and think it's going to work out. My belt clip kickstand case appears to be a little heavy, but as I try different positions I think it's going to rock! I may but an additional one after I get comfortable using this one. @@Brandoview After trying to use it for a while unfortunately it doesn't work for me. It works with an Ipod 5th gen. in it's case, but not the XR in it's case. It's hard to get in and it hardly stays. I have seen others that you can expand to a tablet so that's the one I need to maker up for the little more area that I need. It also doesn't seem deep enough to. I sent a message to the ebay seller to ask if they have that part the right size so I can swap them out in hopes that you can, but probably not. I will probably be looking for a different one. It is very sturdy though and will work great with the right device. Great review though!

I would have liked to see the quality of the recorded video. It seems to me that tapping the table would result in a shaky camera.

You have to give it some time to stabilize after recording, Shake will be gone within a few seconds

I’m sure you could, and it doesn’t grip too bad at all, but it depends on what concerns you have about it. And it will have some wobble when adjusting it but if you’re quite gentle it could work

Its a twisty one, with NY one u open up the clamp by untwisting it to allow adjustment, if that makes sense, it should make it clearer in the included instructions.
