Remember what Clarke told Bellamy in this episode “you want forgiveness, fine, I’ll give that to you” This quote hits different on so many levels.

This episode is crucial for Bellamy and Clarke's relationship moving forward, and their relationship is one of my favourite things about this show. There is obvious chemistry (I mean, the actors are married now and have a child), but above that, there is a lot of respect, trust and understanding, and as Clarke said, they need each other.

“Forgiveness isn’t about what people deserve.” Love this quote. Clarke has been struggling with this throughout the season, first with Wells and then with Abby, and it’s like this moment here is a sudden realization that what people do and how they should be treated in the future don’t have to coincide. Sometimes you need people, even despite what they’ve done. You have to forgive. Clarke really adopts this idea into her character. Sort of interesting how it coincides here with Bellamy’s sudden confrontation with his guilt, manifested in the people he somewhat killed on the Ark. This hallucination of Jaha tells him the way to move forward is to “live, breathe, suffer.” But I think it’s Clarke’s forgiveness that is really what let’s him reconcile - at least enough to come back to camp - with what he has done. Day Trip is not just about the beginning of Clarke and Bellamy’s friendship/co-leadership, but also about how that bond is built upon them being able to grant each other what they desperately need to survive. For Clarke, that’s someone who has her back, someone who can help her lead in the ways she can’t. For Bellamy that’s someone who will accept him and forgive him for how he is. “You need forgiveness? Fine, I’ll give that to you.” Another great quote

I allow NO MILLER DISRESPECT IN THIS HOUSE Alsooo... Bellamy getting cutesy confused with the hand placement and smiling when Clarke shot that gun... Bellarke feeeeeeeeeeeels! "You want forgiveness, fine, I'll give that to you..." - Remember this Clarke quote to Bellamy!!! The way she vouched for him in the end, I was DECEASED. The little smiles, the appreciation of each other, the TRUST forming. BYEEE I like Clarke's trip because it really shows her fears, and how truly everyone expects so much of her.

This episode is one of my favorites. I love seeing inside the main groups mental states. Seeing the fear in Jasper, the hurt within Clarke, the guilt within Bellamy... it all made me so sad to witness. Seeing how Bellamy truly does blame himself for the death of all those on the ARK. I also like this because its one of the main episodes we truly witness Bellamy and Clarke protect one anothe and bond as the co-leaders. I also love how we start seeing more of Lincoln!!! He is truly the best! Fun Fact: In the original script of this episode, Bellamy asks clarke to run away with him.... they were always written with romantic undertones and intent from the beginning.

This episode is my ultimate favourite of this season, not only because of Bellarke but Because of the Actors Bob Morley and Eliza Taylor as this was their favourite episode, getting to actor together with one another because both of them being Australian and the only Australians on the main cast so they promised to care of one another which is just so wholesome. I love this episode because you get to see inside Bellamy's mindset through his trip, him really going through it because that's showing how much guilt he has inside of him about all the things he's done with Shooting Jaha and throwing away the radio, torturing Lincoln and enforcing his way despite some of all that being act for how scared he really is inside. Then we have Clarke's side with having to struggle with keeping the remaining teenagers alive, the guilt of having let Bellamy torture Lincoln, and then the situation with Abby and her betrayal with turning Jake in but though this hallucination of Jake wants is for Clarke to forgive Abby for what she has done but Clarke doesn't want to which is understandable from her point of view as I don't think anyone would be able to forgive the person who gets their dad killed, related or not. I also like the fact that it starts to show a softer side to both Clarke and Bellamy, two people who started out as enemies with different ideals, morals and how they think to slowly after this life and death experience come together with this soft and emotional talk about forgiveness, needing one another and running away from each other's problems. It shows deep down, despite their differences that they need to come together to achieve this common goal which in this case is keeping the rest of the remaining teenagers alive against anything including the grounders. Clarke and Bellamy are like two sides of a coin. two halves where Clarke is the head, thinking of ways on how they can survive and Bellamy is the heart, using his bravery and skills to get those things done. they complement each other well in that regard and together would be one power duo.

This is hands down one of my all time favorite episodes. Not only do you get key information but it adds in some much need comedy in the dire situations they’re facing. Octavia, Raven and Finn keeping everything less chaotic at camp is gold. “It’s an anti grounder stick.” I’m dead ☠️

found your channel recently, I've spent the past two days binging all your the 100 reactions so I can be up to date. now I can finally comment. this might've been said thousands of times before but this show does a fantastic job with fleshing out characters who are not at all black or white, with every person simultaneously being a dick and the most supportive, nicest person ever. there are some crazy moral dilemmas they're going to encounter in the seasons to come and I assure you that you're never going to like or hate a character consecutively for more than a few episodes because your opinion of them will constantly change. and every decision made by someone will be 100% justified if you think deeply enough into their motives and character development. the 100 is NOT afraid to fuck up the image of their main characters and that's why I've rewatched the show multiple times. so good.

In my opinion, the biggest take from this episode is the change in Bellamy, apart from any relationship implications with respect to Clarke. Bellamy's biggest fear throughout season 1 until now is that the rest of the people from the Ark will come down and kill him for shooting Jaha. That fear motivated just about every stupid thing he's done so far, most notably getting people to take off their wristbands and then trashing Raven's radio. But now he has been pardoned for it. It doesn't take a genius to figure out how big of a change that will be for him.
