Yep, 192hp per liter at 770hp while naturally aspirated will definitely hurt your ears
@CasparPietersen3 ай бұрын
@@CliffNark that in and of it self has nothing to do with the sound, its all in the exhaust and (lack off) mufflers.
@CliffNark3 ай бұрын
@@CasparPietersen There's more to it than just a lack of mufflers. There are plenty of cars at Goodwood without mufflers, but some straight piped cars will be louder than others depending on how much power per liter they produce
@CasparPietersen3 ай бұрын
@@CliffNark sound has nothing to do with power, other wise those civics you hear at 3 am would be the fastest cars around. Power is about the size of the explosion in the cylinder and the efficiency on which that explosion is turned into motion. If anything sound means wasted energy thus less power. If a car is loud it just means it has (or lacks) an exhaust that may or may not be designed to create a lot of noise. I'm sure the quality, not just the quantity, of the exhaust note on the GM cars has been something they paid extra attention to.
@CliffNark3 ай бұрын
@@CasparPietersen Sorry for not being more clear but I really mean power per liter where a higher number means that the engine is working harder and is less efficient than a larger engine creating the same peak power and thus creates more heat and more noise as a result.
