Asimil looks good. Looks along similar lines to 'learn Italian the natural way'.

yeah for sure. I think it's good because it's so simple. For my students, they have all had bad experiences in the past trying to learn French via methods that are too confusing & didn't work. Assimil is so simple that it means they don't have to stress when learning. Makes it much easier to progress. Are you learning Italian James?

@@FrenchCoach Yeah, the book i mentioned is quite similar. It has 50 chapters. I am also delving a bit into French now.

@@jamesline5103 awesome. If it's similar to Assimil, then I think it will be great for your progress. Overall, I've found that building up reading & listening to Intermediate level, BEFORE you begin speaking is key to not forcing the French or Italian to come to you. A0 & A1 are the same thing - both beginner/starting level French. The students I am currently working with all started at this level and have worked their way up into A2, B1, and beyond. @@bottt5302 sure thing. I do not know if I can help you yet. I don't know your goals, I don't know why learning French is important to you and I don't know how much time you have to spend learning daily. It's why I don't allow anyone to work with me until I have spoken with them in detail 1-on-1 on a call so I can fully understand their situation. I only have 5 students currently. Knowing I can be with them closely as they progress is the most important thing for me. So, if you would like to see if I could truly help you, you can book a call if you like. There is no pressure for you to do this, my KZbin videos should be helpful. But if you are looking for 1-on-1 guidance, a call would be the 1st step. - Rory
