WOW, that Panasonic Q brings back memories, as that was my main GC back in the day, and it was modded to play all region games, truly one of the best consoles I ever owned. I remember playing RE4 on it when it released and my wife was pregnant at the time with our son(she loved to watch me play), and he's graduating HS next week, boy, does time fly. Sadly, like most cool things I ever owned, I sold it off to bring someone else the joy it had brought me, as now I just emulate GC games(but it was amazing fun while it lasted).

@@TheGebs24 No, not at all, as I always sold my previous gen collection to buy the latest one, so I sold my ColecoVision to buy my NES. So once the Wii came along, and it played GC stuff, I really no longer had a need the Q anymore(it would have just collected dust in the closet). And once a game or system reaches a certain value, then I become scared I might damage it and lower the value. And once that happens, that defeats the purpose of collecting in the first place. The only systems I currently have are those that I didn't want to buy the newest gen, so I still have the older ones(3DS, PS3, 360, etc.). Looking to buy a Steam Deck OLED, and then no telling when I might buy new again.

That stall with the N64 and GameCube stuff 🤤 Always loved the Japanese only orange and black N64. Back in the day i had the ice blue funtastic variation, stunning looking system.

Still have my Panasonic Q new from Lik Sang back in 2002. £350 shipped at the time with DVD region free mod and US/JP language switchless mod, still going strong but did get a replacement fan and DVD rails, as they are prone to fail.

I remember many years ago when I worked at Dixons and seeing the Panasonic Q...if only I knew the nab one then...but even on my salary back then it was expensive, however it was a quality bit of kit.

oh la la, I'll look forward to seeing more about that Japanese Hyper Street Fighter 2. I have a soft spot for that version of SF2 on console as it plays well and has the awesome 3DO arranged versions of the games music. Cammy's theme is fantastic. Another random thing I would have taken is the random Gowron figurine seen at 19:32... Glory to you and your House!

Kin Ell'. I paid £20 for 3D Dot Heroes on release. Nearly never bought it as it said 20 on the shelf and charged me 25 on self checkout at ASDA. I said to the assistant I'll leave it and told her why (My Mrs encouraged me to ask to change it to 20). She went to the gaming section and told me I was right and charged me 20. To be honest if I knew now the value I wouldn't have complained 😆

weird that you've never seen it before, as Prince Valiant on the NES, is actually a European exclusive, a different (even shittier) version was also released on the original Game Boy (a game which i still have) , it also had comic books and a cartoon.

Whats big deal about the panasonic gamecube? I remember when they came out? Liksang cancelled my order so i never got mine. But they re always one ebay and usually broken and dont work. So clearly poor quality for longevity.

Thanks for replying. Its funny you should say that, my local charity shop sells used video games for 50p . Interestingly you only ever get games which people perceive are poor with bad reviews or the usual fifa s. I'm convinced some of them which sold super badly will become collectors items. So I buy 2 -4 a week. Most I've never heard of. They re usually ps2/ps3/xbox or xbox 360. I will message in 5 years how I got on with these investments lol

Just buy a regular GameCube , who gives a crap about a Panasonic GameCube these days , it really was a dumb idea , that's why it was only done once . The fact that you can play cd's plus GameCube games , means the motor on the device damaged quicker . You are stupid for buying this , honestly how many people care . WGAS
