when i first got kingdom hearts 2, i had the feeling that i was still kind of playing the first one, even with the drives and everything. but when i first heard this battle music, that's when it hit home that this was a whole new ballpark. this song is kind of both fun and all ' time to get serious.' i'm not sure if that makes any kind of sense, but there it is.

Yep. Demyx was a tough boss. His 10 second trials were tough, and it was hard to get a definate lock on the guy because he either shielded himself with pillars of water, or trialed pillars after himself when he moved. Magic was next to useless against him. Xigbar was a another tough cookie mainly because of his best attack, which made it impossible to hit him. Xaldin was the hardest of them all though.

@GeneralRatKingLord I know the Nobody types. I kind of figure Square just gave them different names that can mean the same thing. Dragoon is usually a different type of a Lancer, Ninjas are notorious for being assassins, etc. Xemnas is what I like to refer to as a "Final Boss" type of job, I still think of Sorcerers as the guys who enchant swords with magic. And Scholars in FF3 use books to fight, much like Zexion does if I'm not mistaken, so thats why I put that there.

When he starts his Best Move which is where he's invulnerable to your attacks and you're stuck on that little platform use Reflega to block the first few shots. When he hovers right above you and says, "Now, let's see you dance!" and all the shots start to home in on you run in a circle as fast as you can and don't stop until the attack is over. This is the best possible way to conserve health against that attack. Best of luck.

@bonjovihair1 well, what i do is use limits. i like knocksmash. i used it twice and that defeated him. when he says "dance water, dance" just attack the water forms and use "wild dance" reaction a lot.

@jr91096 You must have been pretty good and prepared. The thing that screwed a lot of people over is when he goes into Overdrive at the end like a lot of the Organization members. He's basically invincible and does attacks that have incredible range and damage, and to top it all off they have multiple hits. Lots of them. I was at Level 40 and I still had a hard time.

@Ps2kid07 they only made a japanese version of final mix it never came to america :(. but ive seen the gameplay from the battle and even on critical it didnt look too impossible but probably a bit more challenging. here's some cool trivia too supposedly roxas in the final mix version was changed slightly to look more like sora (hair wise anyway)

The trick to beating ten clones in ten seconds is to NOT use a Reaction Command on the last one. Wipe out most of them with one round, then just beat the last one to death.

Like any of the boss songs, the composer always makes a song perfect for the mood of that fight. For this, it's always played at a time when you face an opponent that can truly be considered intimidating. Except Demyx maybe. Still, the first time I faced him, HE WAS HARD!

I'm so sorry. I thought for some weird reason that you guys were talking about Xigbar. My bad. Against Xaldin's Roar of Wind there is a small weakness in it. You might want ot have Dash Level 1 from Wisdom form for this. Start near the middle of th bridge when he starts. Then dash and run like crazy to the other side. If you're lucky you won't get damaged or you'll take only a few hits.

i think he shoots it from left to right. at first he follows you, then he stops ad shoots the ray from left to right. go left until he stops. when he stops to shoot the ray, run to the left as fast as possible. thats what i did.
