The 03-04 Cobra is my dream Mustang, aside from a brand new RTR Spec 5 lol. My buddy had a 2004 Cobra that made almost 700 whp with a Kenne Bell setup and it was amazing. His wife got pregnant and once their daughter was born he had to sell it for financial reasons. Still fun while he had it, though.

I can confirm driving a Paxton Coyote is like driving a jet. Shit is loud @ all times, especially when you get a bigger BOV. I will never get tired of the whoosh though. 🤤

The trans isnt weak at all or there wouldnt be so many blown and turbo manual cars out there with 0 mods...all you need is a clutch, diff fluid and a good shifter and bam all the sudden it works fine....aka tbe problem isnt even in the trans lol.

Michael Harris Actually it’s real shit transmission that can barely hold 400 rwtq If you want to keep the MT-82 with it’s close ratios get a Ben calimer stage 3 Or just get the big boy T-56 magnum xl kit from JPC if you you’re pushing big power and need the longer ratios and double over drive

@@ahmeda3227 yea if it was as fragile as you and everyone else says it is it would grenade first time you hit it with 600-700+ torque to the tires...but as you know there have been countless cases where that didnt happen in that situation. Im not saying its the greatest trans ever i just think it gets an unfair rep and dont get the credit it deserves for handling far above what its rated for. Many people say it sucks because of lockouts and sloppy shifting that has more to do with the clutch and shifter than the trans itself. Everyone today loves to say everything sucks...i assure you if it was as bad as people make it out it would not survive any type of pulls in situations where its 200-300+ torque above what its rated to handle AT THE WHEELS. It cannot be that fragile or it would instantly grenade on every blown car out there that runs an mt82. Itsjusta6 beats the shit out of his...his engine let go but i dont beleive the trans has yet. Man it must not be that garbage after all. Does that make a trans garbage because it needs upgraded when its double its rated torque? Onviously so lol

Itsjusta6 ran 900 rwhp on his mt82 with slicks for countless passes before his motor actually let go. MT82 is still going. He ran severall 9 second passes with that mt82 and plenty of roll racing

I hope ten years from now, Coyote swaps will be as popular as LS pattern swaps. Ford "done good" with this one. If I wasn't poor and could get an S550 with a Paxton blower, I would for sure do a recirculating BOV setup to cut down on that whistling. I get enough of that from working on jets all day 😂

Just saying an 03-04 cobra built for a track and not a drag strip is a nasty nasty beast. I.e. Built irs half shafts coils front and rear strut and sway bars cross member supports etc. Not alot of people do it though I dont know why
