Great job the only thing I could say you could add was when you talk about getting back to the ship maybe stress that you keep your watch or phone so that it is on ship time because with carnival everything goes by ship time. Thanks again for all the tips!

Makes you realise how much cruiselines do the same things, differently !! And that they change things time frequently. So great guidance, thanks, Fraser. 👍
@FraserAtSeaАй бұрын
Thanks a lot, Stephen. I find it funny how many differences there are, especially in situations where the lines are all under the same parent company eg Carnival Corp!
@stephenm8818Ай бұрын
@FraserAtSea Yeah, I do wish Carnival did more out of the UK, but no doubt there is a line that won't be crossed as it will be considered as P&O's territory !

I prepaid for my gratuities but will bring cash to tip extra if I get above and beyond service. Also, the only time the ship will wait for you is if you book an excursion through them. If the boat is held up for an hour it’s not the passenger’s fault.
@FraserAtSea27 күн бұрын
You’re totally right - booking your excursion through the cruise line will mean the ship will wait for you. I’d be so stressed 😂 Thanks a lot for watching!

@ Thanks for the tips!!! I sail in about a month and I was able to jot down some really good notes. I’m going to the welcome aboard party to see if some silliness will grab me a VIP title, lol!

Good list, thanks Fraser! I've only done 1 Carnival and that was to meet John Heald on his FFS group cruise. (He is very nice!) It was a big party ship which isn't my thing. To each their own, but drunk people at 10am in the pool isn't my idea of a good time. Their shows were outstanding!! Really enjoyed all the entertainment. This was in February 2020...yea, note the date and guess what I came down with the day I flew home? Sickest I've ever been. ☹️ Uugh!
@FraserAtSeaАй бұрын
Ahh, that’s a claim to fame that you met him - wow! Also, dreadful timing date wise - what a bummer! I’ve done a couple of Carnival cruises, and have really enjoyed them, but I think it’s important that expectations are clear on what they’re like! Thanks a lot for your continued support, Tammy!

I am VIP for Cunard and MSC. Doing a transatlantic crossing in June 2025 on the Queen Mary 2 right after Royal Ascot.
@FraserAtSeaАй бұрын
Oh wow - that sounds like quite the trip you’ve got planned! How did you get VIP status with Cunard - just high on their loyalty ladder? Thanks for watching!!
@BlaineShireАй бұрын
@@FraserAtSea I have a member of the Royal Enclosure since 2010 and I enjoy Royal Ascot. Then I found that Cunard has cruises back to the USA around that time so one more thing off of my bouquet list. Yes I have hi status on IHG and many airlines so they gave me VIP on Cunard and MSC.

To your knowledge do any other cruise lines let you choose your embarkation time?
@FraserAtSeaАй бұрын
Hello! Yes, with some, you’re able to pick! I believe the likes of MSC allocate you a time, but so many allow you to choose from options! 😊
