As with your Neo Geo video, this is a showcase of gorgeous pixel art. This is my favorite visual style in video games and I wish more games looked this great and impressive. The visual presentation in Dungeons & Dragons: Shadow Over Mystara has remained particularly impressive to me over the years and it makes me wonder what a metroidvania game or an RPG would look like with a similar visual style. I also like imagining the pixel art and animation that Capcom had mastered in its fighting games from this era being adapted into other styles of games. This visual style is truly something special and I hope more is done with something similar in the future.

Played most of these back in the arcade days. Couldn't tell you how many quarters or hours were spent there. Many good times, many good memories.

Back in the day the first game that really impressed me was Marvel VS Capcom. It's sad to think it never really got any better than that.

After MvC1 Capcom was in a very decadent state with fgs, and only cared to make an optimized edition of the series. Ignoring the value of good opening, music, art, 2d stages, endings, references to both Marvel and Capcom, using a good villain for boss, etc. The non gameplay details were sadly lost. But imagine Capcom was so pumped to make MvC2 as they were with MSH and XvSF, the two games where they put their maximum effort in the mid 90s.

I remember playing many of these games in arcades with my sisters, we had a great time both in "cooperative" games (like Alien vs Predator) and fighting against each other like in Marvel vs Capcom or Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤

Oh my.... The CPS2 & CPS1 have a lot the games that i missed, i never see the secuel off 1944 or Mars Matrix. Good to see Progear & Dymahoo, but with not Vampire Savior, Megaman 2 Battle Fighters or the unknown Battle Circuit which is a great beat em up that combines the best of Cap Commando and AvsPbut this have a good system of level up, good video keep this work

At first my selection was 20 games and there were those you mention. But I wanted to cut it to 15 because the rhythm of the video seemed a bit repetitive to me as there were many games of the same genre. Strange decisions that I sometimes make!

I think you forget about Eco Fighter. It is also a pleasantly looking jet fighter shoot em ups like Twinbee. So many underrated Capcom games (both shmups and fighting games)

I think out of all the Shmups for the CPS2 I honestly think between giga wing and Mars matrix honestly are really impressive especially more of Mars matrix since some enemies and bosses have a really fluid animations! Crap!! even the music which is all sample based makes it even more impressive!!

The street fighter alpha series was legendary! when i first heard they were using that art style for street fighter i thought 'way to ruin a good franchise' how wrong was i, absolutely loved the games sfa2 still being my favourite fecking awsome game, that Zangief combo was just some of the awesomeness of the alpha series that thankfully made it over to the likes of marvel vs capcom, xmen vs Street Fighter.

I have weakness to 16bit 2d Sprite based games..it's like they never age at all and remain georgeous. However, early 3D aged worse than spoiled milk expect few games like Daytona USA and crash games on PSX.

Early 3D games such as Super Mario 64 and Banjo-Kazooie look a bit dated now because early 3D rendering was very crude, at best. Modern 3D titles look better because of the sophistication of the hardware that creates the environments in the game. 2D games, by contrast, age better because, while the hardware required to make them is evolving, the style is much more likely to remain constant across the decades. Some 2D games even purposely pay homage to older games and their visual style.

Msh vs Sf do not deserve to be in this list imo. Looks identical to XMenvsSF with other colors. Vampire Savior or Xmen: COTA deserve its place. COTA was amazing and ahead of his time when released.

"los 15 juegos mas imprresionantes gráficamente de Capcom CPS2" pone en la lista el 1944 loop master y no pone al verdaderamente superior 19XX, pone el Alpha 3 con sus escenarios estaticos y sin efectos raster en el suelo y deja afuera al Alpha 2...... Y lo peor de lo peor: no estan ni X-Men children of the Atom ni el primer Marvel super Heroes mientras que si estan todos los otros 3 MArvel VS los cuales tienen grandes recortes de animación en los personajes y faltan efectos y animación en los escenarios. Buenas chinito, esto son baremos más subjetivos que objetivos. Visualmente 1944 me parece mucho más potente que el 19XX (otro tema de debate sería si te parece mejor o peor juego). Respecto al Alpha 2 y 3, te concedo el tema de los escenarios, pero en los personajes el 3 es netamente superior (y para mi pesa más esto en el cómputo global). Nuevamente, algo subjetivo. En cuanto a los Marvel vs... realmente en el conjunto me parecen superiores. Intento también rehuir un poco de cosas específicas en las que se pueden ver superados, y poner en balanza el todo (escenarios, cantidad de personajes, etc). Ahí no hay recortes, hay suma, incluso multiplicación. De todos modos, muy agradecido de conocer tus opiniones!

Capcom made some of the dumbest games ever. If you took Michael Bay and made him create videogames, Capcom is that Michael Bay. All visuals and explosions while having horrific storylines and ridiculous logic. The only exception was the resident evil series. But even that doesn't have a logical storyline. The fighting games were basically just quarter grabbers at your local arcade with extremely hard difficulty levels and the worst response times. Take Streefighter 2 for example. The computer cheats like crazy and if you look at the evolution of Streefighter 2 onward, it goes through horrible incarnations. SF the movie the arcade was horrible as a game as it was a movie. Streefighter alpha looks horrible and ridiculous. The EX series was dumb and a phase of the bad 3-D era. And there wasn't anything really decent or creative about it. Mega Man was the same thing. After Mega Man 2, Mega Man 3 through 6 were basically the same. Then Mega Man X was nice, but X2 onward were horrible, especially on the PlayStation. There were some decent games, but mostly, Capcom was capitalizing off of Marvel and producing too many copycat sequels of it's own creations. They were very basic, dumb-downed button-mashers.
