I have thousands of football and baseball cards from the late 1960’s through the late 1970’s. They’re in excellent condition and I’m sure I have multiple of each of those cards. With these prices, it’s time to review and decide how to proceed. I have a lot to learn including grading, how to sell and where to sell. Thanks for your videos. I’m just starting to view but great information

It would not be hard to find someone on here willing to buy your entire collection, obviously it’s not going to be top retail price but you can get a fair price , all the money at once and not have to deal with selling individually.

No mention of the 1977 Topps Mexican? That set is by far the hardest set to build. All of the 528 cards in the set are typically 10 times as expensive. Lots of short prints and condition issues make this the most difficult - and expensive - set I have ever built.

Big fan of your channel. Great references,insight, and advice. Everyone loves lists of Top 20 or most expensive of the decades, etc. I know I’m always bugging you about this subject but PLEASE can you do a UFC/MMA video? Top 20 UFC/MMA cards that have sold on E-Bay would be more popular than you might otherwise think imo. 🤔 MMA is on 🔥🔥🔥 right now and the only way to popularize it is to promote it. I can’t find ANY “top” list of MMA cards and I think your platform is the perfect place to get more recognition 🙂👊🤛🤞🏻💯🙏🏻

Just watched this vid for the third time today. Love it. That Earl Campbell card is so great. I always thought of him (and maybe Bo Jackson) as the baddest back. Going to have to pick that Earl card up. At one time Mean Joe was one of the most well-known players in the NFL because of the Coke commercial. I remember that commercial like it was yesterday. That may have been one of the first super SuperBowl commercials. A classic. And Sweetness... nothin’ to say there but he was amazing. Still upset Ditka let the Fridge take the TD in the blowout SB and didn’t give that to Peyton. I gotta get over it, it’s been 35 years! 😀

Man I used to have a massive collection of these 70’s rookies graded. Just recently I started looking into key 70's FB in ~ PSA 8 and have already picked up a couple from this list, as well as a couple "2nd year" cards. It's interesting, yet not all that surprising, that just about every card shown is currently selling @ 2x compared to Oct. 2020. 1970's FB, and even basketball, have much lower print runs than Topps baseball and perhaps people are starting to realize that, hence driving up prices.

Crazy to see the prices of PSA 8 go for so much. I wonder if Mahomes PSA 8 will be worth money if he wins another superbowl (9s and 10s prices are over the top).
@collectorinvestordealer4 жыл бұрын
Good question, tough to say. For cards in the 70s, an "8" is considered high grade, while for cards in the 10s, and "8" is almost considered a low grade. But that may change over time. And Mahomes is so young, could have any number of super bowls left in him.

Hope your trip home went well. Cant wait to see a "My Collection" video. If you see this comment I know itis a video from a while ago. What do you think the chances of even the lower grades like 7 and below will appreciate? Maybe in many years.
@collectorinvestordealer4 жыл бұрын
Vintage RCs of HOFers have always appreciated in the past, even in lower grades. The higher the grade has been, the more the card has grown. But PSA 7s still have seen long term growth as well, no real reason to think they wont continue to.
@Al-ImprovEd20224 жыл бұрын
@@collectorinvestordealer same for non HOFers if it’s rare?

It depends heavily on the card, but in a very general sense, I probably wouldn't recommend PSA 7s as long term investments on 70s non-HOFers.

Topps used to produce the sets in series. The last series (so the highest numbers in the set chronologically) were often produced in the least quantity so today generally have more value.

Lynn Swann does not deserve to be in the Hall of Fame. And the Steve Spurrier card being valuable is ridiculous. Walter Payton is arguably the greatest running back AND football player ever. Roger Staubach was a better quarterback than Terry Bradshaw.
