The 150 year old Farm House had to go... What's Next?

We Decided to demolish the old condemned farm house that was built in the 1800's to make room for our new shop house. Before we demolished it, we took out all the doors, and cabinets, and everything else that could be re-purposed. We used a Link Belt Excavator to tear down the 150 year old house.

Well I know the hateful comments are on the way... 😉 But before you tell me how tearing this house down was the wrong decision, here are a few facts: 1. We saved soooo much stuff from the house to repurpose it. Like ALL of the cabinets, pulled most of the wood trim, saved all of the doors, etc... 2. I intended to have this house torn down piece by piece, and moved. but is was not cost effective. I talked to contractors and it was not going to be worth it. Way too expensive. 3. I even ran an ad of giving the house away if someone wanted it. Two people said the did. Nobody ever showed up. 4. The house ended up having a lot of black mold in it, so thats not cool. 5. I bought the land to build a commercial workshop on, and the house staying where it was, was not an option. Ever. 6. The old man whom I bought the property from was happy for me to tear the old house down and rebuild on the property. But I'm sure none of those facts matter lol.

I get it. Fully understand why you did it. You gave your son a great experience too with excavator 💪🏻😊

Those who choose to complain should have stepped up to buy the house and relocate it...put their money where their mouth is...but there's just no pleasing some folks :-/

While it's sad to see the house get torn down, you have to weigh your options and go with what is best for you. It's your house, your property, and your business. If others can't figure that out, then they have a problem.

What a thrill for Henry! That was a beautiful day; the high speed footage with those gorgeous clouds in the background was amazing! Looking forward to the next video!
