Let's break down live performance moments from The 1975 and Matty Healy. We'll analyze what makes them one of the most respected and acclaimed bands in the world and what makes Matty Healy such a captivating frontman and master of stage presence.
This is the Stage Presence Mastery Series. My name is Luther Mallory. I'm an Artist Performance Coach out of Toronto focused on stage presence and the expressive skills of music and stage performance.
My hope with this series is that artists, musicians, and stage performers can take ideas from the masters and use them to improve their own performances and their connection to their own audiences.

The members of this band (including their touring musicians) are incredibly skilled and dedicated. Their energy on stage is honestly unmatched, and I enjoyed seeing them live more than any other band I've seen so far. I love how they span so many different genres with their music, and their attention to detail is truly outstanding. They have excellent stage presence and chemistry, and there was never a dull moment for me watching them live.

Its my fav band, but Matty admit he isnt a good guitar player, they only use the pentatonic scale in all of they albums, etc. I think they are very good enought to be who they are, but not the best muscichans you could get in the band, but... they are very creative

I’ve loved the 1975 for years and it was really interesting to see you dissect their performances in this way. As someone who is not a musician, just as person who really loves music, it made me appreciate their art and the amount of thought and energy they put behind everything they do so much more.

I’m an older fan of this band & when I found them in 2016, after seeing them live, I was simply hooked. I’ve seen them dozens of times, but seeing this specific show for their opening night of tour was 🤯🤯🤯 Besides their music which switches between genres & moods, Matty is simply a great frontman that captivates me over & over. I adore this band ❤️

@@Luthermallory The pleasure is mine, you just gained a new subscriber ;) Arts have always been an essential part of who I am. Right now, I channel my creativity through music (I'm a guitarist and singer), architecture, and painting, though I’ve also explored theatre and cinema in the past. Out of all these disciplines, my ultimate dream is to inspire people through music and performance, much like Matty Healy does. I also deeply admire Freddie Mercury, his performances would be fascinating to break down in a future video! Regards from Catalunya

The1975 is my fav band. I’ve been a fan for 8 years. I created so much art (drawings) inspired by them. I saw this tour twice and it was just pure joy and so moving. The guys are so good at what they do, and it’s so authentic and earnest. They’ve been together for 20 years and it shows. I loved your video. I really recommend you to check out twenty one pilots, their liveshows are really unique and tyler created a whole world and story with the last four albums, simply put a metaphor for depression and anxiety… and their performance is just insane. Love from switzerland:)
