Man these guys are a true pop band. With real instruments and chord progressions and hooks. And they’re huge. I love everything about that.

For real. It's such a rare thing in modern music. It's a throwback to the 80s in a big way. You just do not get "pop" bands who have a cool presentation at this size and scale. Look across all the festivals and you just will not find an equivalent band or artist. It's super cool. Are they breaking new ground? No, they're unashamedly pop heads who clearly were raised on emo, 80s pop, and whatever else millennials grew up listening to. And that's why they're great.

everytime I see that they’re performing somewhere i just think “gosh they must be exhausted”. i saw them in January and that feels like lifetimes ago. i can’t imagine touring for that long, same songs, non stop. I hope they get a break soon

I often have the same thought but what a treat to be able to follow the tour all year long. Also... they are at the height of their powers and these are legacy performances that people will be watching 50 years from now. There are worse jobs.
