The 1976 Fiat 132 Storytime with Driven It

I had a1981 (x plate) black 132 SS in1994 which was top of the range and had an electric door mirror, power steering and electric windows so quite good spec for it's day. It handled fine but had a lot of body roll as it had no panhard rod like the 131 mirafiori did but was fairly nippy with the 2000 twin cam.

Probably the same as ours… “Bellini” special edition with sunroof Cromodora alloys Pirelli P6 low profile tyres…. great performance and style but quality felt lower than the 131 Mirafiori I later had…..

@@johnmoruzzi7236 it was a bellini. Just was down as 132 SS on log book which if I recall stood for special series . It was a nice car especially on motorway but I preferred my 131 sport (racing) in the looks department.

Should be better at the time developed a semplified and less posh Fiat 130 4 doors but with the body, carrozzeria, of the fantastic Fiat 130 coupe Pininfarina of Paolo Martin in a 4 doors saloon conversion like the prototype Fiat 130 Opera (i think) instead the so so Fiat 132 a car good only in the handling, a 4 doors saloon Fiat 130 with Paolo Martin (Pininfarina) design in my opinion should be a great success, also with a 4 cylinder 2000 not only the 3200 V6.

The Fiat 132 / Argenta are not a great cars in my opinion, in Italy we have not a great opinion on this berlina / saloon, all the people wish the Alfa Romeo Alfetta or BMW 520 or also Opel Rekord but 132 cost less...

The Alfa Giulietta of that time was also a good car….

@@johnmoruzzi7236 Yes is a nice car with great layout but was only 418 metres long, was not a executive car, was more a competitor for Renault 18 and Peugeot 305 or Morris Marina...
