In 2024, I am going through similar. An abandoned VR taken on as a side project to be returned to the roadways. Looking forward to hearing the first startup. Far as I know … so far …. Once I replace the TCI it should run. Wish me luck! Great to hear the sounds in this video. Will be very helpful putting ear to what it sounds like vs what it should sound like.

Hoping this machine is up and running as strong as ever now. That carb set-up is a bit of a chore to sort out, but once cleaned and sync'd right is smooth running. The throttle cable must be adjusted 1st, even before trying to synchronize the carb bank. There is a Canadian Service Video for that on U-Tube.

I'd be all over that for 200 bucks, let's hope the drive train issue is a minor fix. Good score.
