Hello! I just recently found your channel and I must say it is refreshing to find anyone that shares my love of this car. I have an 1989 SR5, and she is indeed a fun ride although I am currently having issues with her distributor. Her mechanic has been awesome and I am hopeful that she will be up and running soon! I look forward to seeing more of your videos!!

Hello brother! I don't know if you remember me, I am that guy that a year ago posted a comment on your channel about buying exactly this kind of Corolla AE92! I was there at 18th february and I am going to say that this was the happiest day of my life, unfortunately, the car was really broken, in the sense that the engine didn't even started, and everything was down, only the pop up headlights worked, and It was too much money to invest in it. Even the owner of the car when we arrived there, told us that he bought the rear lights from America because this is a really rare car. There are a few in Europe I think, and only one in my country! We traveled along all the country just to see this beauty! I am still watching your videos, even if I didn't had the chance to buy it, and you are doing a really great job, you deserve more subs, you really put effort in your videos, and we really appreciate this! You can also see me in my profile picture with the car, this without any doubts will remember my happiest day from my life! Thanks for everything bro, keep it up!😁

I had bought a manual one (‘88 model) with the pop up headlights for $1,000, sold it for $500 and regretted selling ever since.

Well its official, I saved an SR5 from a lot in the desert. It was in beautiful shape and we're working on getting it running again. I shot you a DM a little while ago before I bought it but she's now in my garage. We'll need some advice on these things so if you have any info please reach out. Hope to hear from you!

I have one of these Teeyoda 1989 sedans with the carb and automatic. I'm not very demanding of my car horsepower wise but I do find this car can really shoot out of a stop and rev up to nearly 7000RPM . Faster than a lot of more powerful cars. Not bad for 35yr old econobox.

Yeah they’re definitely definitely not bad, not fast but very fun! I used to own 2 sr5’s now I just own 2 Gts’s

I was thinking of getting a 1990 sr5, i was wondering what gas mileage you get on yours/what to expect. And if an ae86 hood is compatible with the ae92
@Tuned4Speed

Not sure! I haven’t had mine running in a long minute haha, also the ae86 hoods do not fit sadly

I need help. I have a ae92 and I'm trying to get a super charged levin motor for it but they are getting harder to find and I don't know how to find stuff in Japan to import it. Any help would be awesome

I’m really sorry I don’t have many connections for that, best bet is Facebook market place for just looking the a 4agze set up, or eBay, or googling engine import places too

Sadly there’s no aftermarket bolt on ones but definitely get a shop to weld on a magnaflow exhaust, they’re great!

Haha naw although the Gts is awesome fun and faster, the sr5 by all means is amazing and I absolutely still love! They give off more of the classic 80s corollas vibe when you got the carbed 4AF, more comfort oriented seats than the gts, and really reliable, sr5’s are more well taken care of and come in automatic transmission unlike the gts, which I love cause they make them nice fun calm daily drivers if you so as want one for that, I love sr5’s still and I’ll get another one day
@Aaa-zf1wy
@Aaa-zf1wy 11 ай бұрын
@@Tuned4Speed to be fair tho the gts isn't really any less reliable than the sr5. As for comfort, nobody cares on something that old
@Tuned4Speed
@Tuned4Speed 11 ай бұрын
@@Aaa-zf1wy the comfort is debatable when it’s a daily driver or when your wanting to not be uncomfortable on long drives, the sr5’s are generally more taken care of vs the Gts being more beat up and abused, and also rotted tf out
@Aaa-zf1wy
@Aaa-zf1wy 11 ай бұрын
@@Tuned4Speed yea gts do tend to be in worse condition. As for comfort, I don't think there's any problem with either cuz Toyota tends to make good shit. Only time I'm ever uncomfortable is in an old blazer
@Tuned4Speed
@Tuned4Speed 11 ай бұрын
@@Aaa-zf1wy yeah way worse, and naw trust me the sr5 seats are way more comfortable and softer than the Gts, Gts are more firm and bucket like seats, cause they’re made to hold ya in place which is still awesome and decently comfortable but sr5 is wayyy more comfortable, I miss my sr5
