In 2018, I remember seeing a graphic about that 2018 Yankees team breaking the MLB team home run record. On that list, the 1997 Mariners (no. 2) didn’t surprise me, but the 1996 Orioles being in the top-5 did surprise me. From what I recall at that moment, I was trying to remember who was on that team and how they had 257 HR. This video is about the names I was able to recall and how I forgot about the power that ’96 Orioles team had. If I had to guess what team in 1996 would’ve broken the 1961 Yankees team home run record; Seattle, Cleveland, Texas or even DH-less Colorado Rockies would’ve come to mind before the Orioles. Thanks for your interest in this video and I hope you enjoy it.

1994 Baltimore Orioles had the best record before baseball strike that season could have ALCS and World series 1996 Baltimore Orioles could been World series championships teams, 1997 Baltimore Orioles could been World series championships, I live Baltimore area I'm Baltimore Orioles fan I do respect the Baltimore Orioles fans and Players and Mangers and team President for what do they in the community in Baltimore Maryland area even when Baltimore Orioles team are multiple losing season's Baltimore Orioles fans are very loyal fans, very similar to Cleveland Browns fans, I remember when was 4 years old MLB season my family members are Orioles fans for 13 years Orioles team had NFL team feel 1984-1996-1997 When Original Cleveland Browns move to Baltimore Maryland as 10 years old kid 😮 I was happy another NFL team was here in Baltimore Maryland later became the Baltimore Ravens as expansion team for expansion franchise very quickly winning two super bowl appearances and Super Bowl Champions and two AFC championships playoff record 16-12 and team franchise record 243-190-1 in 27 seasons

Thank you so much Coach Phil. So great to hear from you. I apologize greatly, for I've not been able to find time to watch your content, but this weekend, I think I will have some time. I think I saw a video you had "Unboxing gone wrong" or something like that, that I wanted to check out. But this weekend I should have some time to take a look at your videos. Also, last I checked over 900 subs, that's great. Almost to 1,000. Wow, that was fast. Thanks again and good luck.

If you looking for a 90s baseball team to do a video on you should think about the 1999 Cleveland Indians. As a Cleveland native that probably was the best lineup we had during that run but our pitching was mid and failed us in the wild card against Boston. If it wasn’t for that they would be remembered by the baseball community

Great recommendation. I wrote your name down and your recommendation. It's something I think I should do for the summer. I remember that Boston series with CLE up 2-0 in the series, then Nomar really hit the ball really well. I forgot about that Game Four 23-7 Boston win. But I think the 1999 Cleveland Indians is a great choice. Thank you so much.

@@90sSportsNostalgia looking forward to it man. It could be a popular one because Indians fan are always looking for 90s Indians content. Yeah, and then we got into a home-run fest with them game 5. A Jim Thome grand slam still didn’t save us and we lost 12 to 8 in game 5. That is the series that put Nomar on the map from what I remember.

It was bandbox. If a prime healthy Albert Belle played there I think he break 60 HRs.

Thanks for the comment and thanks for being a subscriber. I remember Albert wearing #88 in orange and black but like you mentioned, at the time it wasn't a prime and healthy Albert Belle. Maybe he could have hit 60 HRs. I think it's a very fair assessment. But you're also right, Camden Yards was a bandbox which was part of the home run explosion in the 90s. Thanks again for everything. Enjoy the rest of the MLB season.

I think Cal was at 3b and Mike Bordick was SS.

Thanks for the comment. After Cal broke Gehrig's record in 1995 ( I remember that year because I loved that '95 Angels team), at first, I honestly thought Cal moved to 3B the following season, but it was actually in 1997. But when I saw that HR record in 2018, I knew Cal had to be at SS because Bordick has never been a home run hitter. But I too thought Bordick became the SS for the O's in 1996. Thanks for the comment. Have a good one.
