Thanks as always for your interest in this video. A quick note that I did not mention, Toronto and Vancouver were recent expansion teams and thus, were not eligible for the #1 pick for the 1998 NBA Draft. What are your thoughts about this Chris Webber - Penny Hardaway 1993 Draft Day Trade?

Thank you so much. Your support means a lot to me as I'm so thankful. I had to do this video because some time in the early 2000s or something like that, I realized then questioned, what happened to those picks because Golden State had some bad teams. Fast forward to the present day, when thinking about topics, this one came up and I knew I had to do this one. Thanks again for everything. You're the best.

You're the best. I'm very thankful for all of your support. Thanks for also calling this a "masterpiece". That made my day....People can argue what era is the best in whatever sport; but yes, likewise for me, the '90s was the best time to be a sports fan. I hope to do a video on why my sports fandom dwindled in the mid-2000s or so to help explain why the '90s was the best. Thanks again. Take care and have a great spring.

Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching the video. In the video, I mentioned how a friend was jokingly wanting to see the Warriors to lose so the Magic can have those high draft picks. Then all of a sudden in maybe the early 2000s, it made me wonder what happened to those picks? Where did they all go? Thus, fast forward to now, I had to do this video. Thanks again and enjoy the rest of the NBA season.

Hardly bad management. Shaq left. You just don’t replace a Shaq. And 95-96 was the last time Penny started over 60 games. They had two top ten MVP candidates and then it was over.

@@jamespohl-md2eqIt wasn't bad management. It was horrible management from Orlando. This trade set up them up with the potential to build a dynasty. Yes a Shaq Webber tandem would have been fun but seemed like a team that would get bounced in the 1st round every year. If Orlando doesn't fool around and pays Shaq they have the most dominant player in his prime. Orlando could have outbid everyone else and went over salary cap to resign their own players. We all know Penny got injured, but even knowing he's an All-Star talent. Him and Shaq, with three first round picks they could've been plucking pieces for a dynasty. The giving up of the Skiles trade pick made sense in the win now mentality of getting Grant and got them that close to the title. But imagine them getting one of the 1996 amazing draft picks? Then with Shaq, Penny, that draft pick and another in 1998 and 2000? Or at least the ability to flip them for proven talent We know in hindsight the 1998 and 2000 class weren't the greatest overall. But Orlando should have been licking their chops.

@@Astrozac44I lived in Orlando at that time. I have forgotten more than you will know. They were never gonna pay Shaq the kind of money he wanted. Again. You don’t replace a Shaq.

@jamespohl-md2eq I live in Orlando. Good management doesn't lose the most dominant player in the league, who'd barely entered his prime, for nothing.
