There are a lot of larger than life moments in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While we could watch the huge moments over and over again, there are some smaller moments that sometimes pass right by us. Those are the moments that send us to the remote and that pause button to see if we can find these little almost hidden moments.
Sometimes, they’re clues to the future, like Captain America’s shield or a frozen body near a reclusive Hulk. Maybe they’re a hint at a future mystery like a lost character showing up in Ant-Man’s helmet. With super agent Nick Fury of the super spy agency S.H.I.E.L.D. and his super spy apparatus, there are plenty of hints at the wider world of the MCU and hints at the comics. It’s not just super agents that have information filled backgrounds, with super scientists like Doctor Erik Selvig and his personal interaction with the Infinity Stones leading them to writing down a lot of hints at the larger world of Marvel, even beyond the MCU. Once you’re out in the crazy world of space in Marvel, there are a lots of things to see in the background in collections like Odin’s treasure room, the Collector’s collection and the Grandmaster’s palace. They provide all kinds of treasures to be found in the frozen images. Sometimes, it’s just to see how the Black Widow pulls off her amazing fights. Whatever the case may be, here are some of the most paused moments in the MCU.

The Infinity Gauntlet in Odin's vault was not a fake - at least not completely. Odin did in fact have all the stones in the gauntlet, but the influence of all that power changed him. So he used them in a way that was permanent for each one, then spread them out in hidden locations across the universe and had fake stones made to be put in the real gauntlet so people would not know to look for them. When he did this and recovered from the influence is when he went from warmonger to benevolent leader. Since Hela still wanted to stay the same, he imprisoned her. He used them roughly as follows: Space stone - created the Bifrost Mind and Power Stones - Used them (previously) on the forges of Nidalvallir so they could create weapons with the power of gods that also held a certain level of sentience (like knowing when someone is worthy and that they are being called). Reality Stone - Used it to make Loki appear as an Asguardian instead of the Frost Giant he was born as. This had the unexpected side effect of giving him the changleing type powers. Soul Stone - Used it to grant Heimdall his powers. He said he could see "every soul". With this power, he was much better at operating the Bifrost created by the Space Stone. Time Stone - They don't really say, but I suspect he created the Eternal Flame with it. Once he had used them in a way that would constantly benefit Asguard without the negative influence, he went about splitting them up and hiding them, believing their destruction could literally break the universe.

You missed two of my favorite pauses from the earlier films. The tank of chemicals shown by General Ross were referenced to as attempts to recreate the Super Soldier Program had a tag on them. It listed them as belonging to the Doctor who created Captain America, but more importantly, it called the project the "Weapon Plus" program. This is in reference to what would eventually become Weapon 10, or "Weapon-X", Wolverines origin. Captain America was a product of the first iteration, Weapon 1. Also worth noting is the synthetic man on display in Captain America: First Avenger. It is in a glass tube with a sign labeled as being created by the Professor who created it in the comic. It's even wearing the same costume as the comic. In the comic, however it is presented and immediately bursts into flames when it comes in contact with the air, becoming the WWII era Human Torch, a member of Cap's real team, the Invaders.
