The band material is resin, not silicone or rubber. First you said you changed the battery, but a moment later you say you didn't change the battery. Anyway, I have the same watch, it's simply a classic.

I will say this about the watch.. though it maybe say 22.00 shipped here to Canada the best part of it is the movemrnt..to buy the movement as a replacement movement costs more than the watch.. so its a bargain in that respect.. otherwise ..its a banger for everyday use and abuse.. just like the timex of yesteryear...cheers
