Allen ISD has a pretty good high school and football stadium. It's crazy how public schools work in Texas. Almost every city has it's on Independent School District. I'm used to Florida where the school district is at the County level and you have one central football field for all the high schools in the District. We had a decent one back home in Panama City but 4 of the now 6 high schools shared the main stadium. The middle schools had their own "fields" but played at least one game a year at the high school stadium.
@justingriffin43363 ай бұрын
That's not how Independent School Districts operate in Texas. They do Not go by city/town(municipal) boundaries. Prosper ISD doesn't just cover Propser and I'm certain the boundaries extend into nearby suburban towns as well. Rock Hill serves students in McKinney ares that's not in the McKinney ISD borders.

The food court was a sight to behold, and I can't even begin to tell you how jealous I was because my high school has got 0 resteraunts in it. When I was there it was fairly empty, so I'm not sure how nice it would be with several thousand students in the hallways, but I can say the hallways were over triple the size of my schools hallways. They literally have sofas lineing the hallways, and they were comfortable! I'm not even sure there's a single couch in my entire high school that's accessible to the student body, and they have about 100 just in the halls. And it's not like my high school is bad either. Our stadium was over 25+ million dollars, but we can't be spoken in the same breath in terms of facilities. Still beat them in football though.

So instead of every school paying for an expensive stadium and upkeep they have all schools pay the district for one major stadium. Not always the rule but pretty close. So when driving around or flying in and you’re like that’s a high school stadium, wow. The answer is normally it’s a districts stadium for ten schools
