i have the Elgato Facecam (first iteration) and even Elgato's followups couldn't justify an upgrade. The Kiyo with the natural bokeh effect is tempting, but the bokeh also isn't as strong as i would like. Substituting Nvidia once again for the blurry background wouldn't sit well with me, after spending 200 on this.

Is there any flicker reduction for 144Hz displays? I know with the C920 there's a ton of flicker from my monitor if I'm in low light unless I nerf my refresh rate.

I just got mine during Amazon Prime.Days. I have a mac and watching this video i learned that there aren't any drivers for MAC just PC. That's why I bought this webcam-- I wanted to be able to adjust color, etc. Any ideas?

You're probably not going to respond to this comment because this vid is kinda old but I'm trying to get into streaming and this is only $100 on amazon now. Should I get this or just invest in lighting and try using my pixel 6 pro. (NO IDEA HOW TO DO THIS)

I've been having trouble on figuring out how to get the wide field of view to work on anything other the the synapse preview but its only giving me a tiny view. Is there anyway to fix that? or is it gonna be a tiny square.

I regret buying this one. The HDR does provide an easy way to get better gradations of shade without washing-out the light areas, but this can be accomplished by fiddling with Gain vs Exposure on the original Kiyo -- which has a lower cost obviously, and also in my opinion better color than the Pro, plus the advantage of the ring-light. Also, the Pro has a persistent problem of having to be physically disconnected/reconnected after each reboot of the PC, an issue I have not found with the cheaper Kiyo. I keep the original Kiyo set up as back-up to my Elgato Facecam, and gave original Kiyos to my wife and son, who use them happily -- while the new Pro sits unused except for occasional grumpy re-tests, hoping for some improvement with later firmware from Razer.

That's his mirrorless camera. Most likely it's the Sony A5100 on his profile using Elgato camlink. No webcam on the market will have that quality.
