I drove one of these today, and man let me tell you, there’s nothing like a powerful V8 engine’s sounds at the lights!

Bought a 2003 2500 with the 5.7 a few years ago and still happy with it. Common issues too look out for is exhaust manifold leaks. I replaced both, and preventative maintenance like changing valve springs to performance valve springs at 100,000 miles is a good idea. Keep that oil change routinely and that motor and Trany will last a long while

I’m glad you like your new Ram! I loved the way the Ram drove myself, the 5.7 Hemi V8 makes great power. Sorry to hear that about your Tacoma though

MyHairyChin Yes I noticed this shortly after I uploaded the video. Pretty stupid on my part not to realize that at the time lol, I’ll have to edit that in sometime soon. Thank you for watching tho

@@peterkobasa all good, decent video. Few opinions i feel different about as it looks like the model you reviewed is a bit lower model for your score board and no way will Ford trucks ever be as good as the Dodge or Chevy trucks depending on year, in the domestic truck battle bracket imo, lol.
@peterkobasa5 жыл бұрын
MyHairyChin Yeah that’s true, I usually get the vehicles I review from friends, and my only friend who had a Ram had an SLT, not a Laramie or something similar unfortunately. And that’s fair, your entitled to your own opinion. I’ve never been drawn to Chevys too much, but I do love Ford and Ram.

I just picked one up with 250k miles for 2k. Bunch of little problems, most notably a misfire in 7 but after I got that sorted its running great. Eats gas like a pro

I was hoping you showed how to access and lower the spare tire on this truck. Is there any jack or lug wrench stored for them? How difficult is it to remove the spare and what size are the lug nuts on the truck? Thanks for posting. I am in the process of buying one at the moment, myself. It has big pipes on it and I really would prefer stock ones, but not really a problem. I laughed about your showing the cup holder cover falling out as it does. The one I am purchasing does the exact same thing. The seller said it is basically just something you have to live with. I was hoping to find a video on how to fix it though. :-)

a1930ford Sorry about leaving that out, but if you’re looking at a Quad Cab, the jack should be stored underneath the rear seats on the passenger side of the truck, I’m not sure what else it comes with though (I think there’s a wrench that comes as well but don’t quote me). As far as the spare tire, I’ve heard removal of a spare is rather simple with use of the tools given to you in the truck, however, I’m not too versed with mechanics, so I apologize for not giving you a direct answer. When I googled lug nut size it said 9/16” x 18 thread size, 7/8” hex size and 1.75” overall length on a set of 4. I don’t know if that helps you but hopefully it does, as I said I’m not too hot with mechanics unfortunately. As far as the truck itself though, the big pipes will give your Ram some character, and I appreciate the feedback with the cup holders as well lol. If you want them fixed, I’m sure you could probably order a new set either at a Dodge dealer or a body shop for a reasonable price plus labor. Or if you want to fix it yourself I’m sure it’s simple process of screw/bolt removal within the console. Nonetheless thank you for watching, I appreciate all the feedback! I truly loved the Ram, and think you will too. I honestly think it’s a great truck, for I had much difficulty choosing between one and a Ford. I hope my advice was useful, but let me know how it turns out!
