That first bit sucked. Glaring fuck up number one: the leg box has a huge black cover on the front. When they spin the box head facing the audience, they switch her legs out. And, there is something up with the triangle base. When the one douche takes the blades out and puts them under the cart, they disappear. Shitty trick start to finish. Not to mention the girl is totally in on it.

It's hard to imagine that most of these performers were ever worthy of awards for their magic. I saw more tells and screw-ups than I have ever seen. Few of these performers had stellar performances and even fewer of them left me wondering "how" they did their tricks. In fact, I learned a couple things that I didn't previously know or suspect. It's sad when an award show for magicians has more mistakes than an amateur show at the local fair. I guess the crash of 2008-2009 left the crew to come up with a bunch of has-beens and nobodies. Only the most well-known magicians had good performances in this show. Worst of all are all the worn out, old tricks that everyone has seen the same old ways so many times. Many of the tricks are typical shop tricks too that anyone can buy for $25 or less. Some of them are easily learned online. So there was very few performances worthy of this hour and a half that I'll never get back. This is definitely the worst magic show I have EVER seen.
