What an absolute banger of a ride! The fact that this is considered "not organised" but you got feedstops on the way and such a cheerful group of chaps is mindblowingly awesome! I wish something like this existed here. Alas, we are a landlocked country and the closest beach is roughly 400 km away :D

Try the try-tension bananaslip all weather tungsten wax lube. It can be applied over immersion wax at the point it is starting to fail, it lasts well even in bad weather. And the time between application and use is 5 minutes!

Are there tonight Pete? This is a transport logistical mare..greater anglia aren't too keen on letting cyclist on without bookings..do you have that issue your side? Still looking forward to it now I know I can get to the start line.

Greater Anglia aren’t just ‘not too keen’ sadly, Del, they actually completely ban bikes of any kind on that route on the day of the DunRun! If you go on to the Dunwich Dynamo Facebook group though, you may find someone selling a coach/truck ticket, as Southwark Cyclists lay on transport every year to bring people and their bikes back to London because of the train situation! I will be there tonight, but Jimmy’s wife is very kindly picking us up on the morning and we’re heading back in the car. Hope you manage to get something sorted though.

Another great video Peter it looked like a wonderful route and ride. I’m sure one of the guys on the penny farthings was clipped in! If so he’s a brave man that’s a long way to fall! Not sure about Jimmys purse! It is pride month I suppose. Have a great week mate 👍

Yeh, I think they may all have been clipped in TBH, which as you allude to, is a terrifying prospect! It was a top ride through. Riding through the night has a very strange but enjoyable feel to it. As for Jimmy’s purse, it did at least keep all of his valuables safe. 😂
