Thanks man. I've had considerable seat time in the Ghibli's rivals (BMW 5 / 6 series - Audi A6 / A7), none were as satisfying to start-up, look at and drive. FOR REAL.

the best review of the ghibli i have seen. focused on what it does well not what it lacks. designed for the driver not to be autonomous as some reviewers want it to be, namely Doug DeMuro. I love my Ghibli.

I just bought a Ghibli two weeks ago. The car turns more heads than my 2013 C63 AMG coupe. Most people think the C63 is just a C-class coupe and don't take a second look. My AMG isn't visually stock; with carbon fiber splitter, spoiler, canards and that V8! With the Ghibli I had people in passing cars stick their heads out the window and give thumbs up. It's a sexy Italian. I can say driving the Ghibli makes you feel differently than the AMG. The ZF transmission is far superior than the 7 speed MCT in the C63. Very quick shifting. This isn't just a dart, Chrysler product. It's built in the Maserati factory in Modena, not the USA.

I just bought a new 2017 Maserati Ghibli SQ4. I love it my neighbors probably hate it because its loud. This is a car you will enjoy even driving slowly the cracks burbles and bursts from the exhaust are exhilarating. Zero to 60 times are BS. If this car had launch control it would have a low 4 second 0-60. For example my friend has a golf R with a lower 0-60 time than the Ghibli SQ4 but the SQ4 is way faster in all other scenarios. 0-60 is a gimmick. Don't believe the magazines just drive the car

Couldn't agree more, Mark. I expected to hate the car, reading all the reviews, but actually fell in love. Some much more visceral than the ubiquitous A6 / E-class / 5-series.....

+FlyingLap: reason why I bought one. I've had the E class, but not the 5 series. I've had other BMWs 3 series and X series. I shopped around for a 550 but it looks like any other BMW...boring. I wanted something different.

I rented a Ghibli S in Miami and really loved it. While it did lack some of the latest technology compared to some of its rivals, I found the driving dynamics and overall luster factor above the competition
