I had the passenger seat matching function in my 2009 audi A5, it really comes in handy when you have someone leave the seat in a weird position, so you don’t have to bend over to fix it. There was also a “convenience side view position” button in the same menu which set a position to provide maximum visibility.

Having the seat the same position as the passenger seat feature helps if you drive a coupe because if you sit further back while driving and the passenger seat is further up it blocks more of your view from looking out of the passenger window for incoming cars, or making turns. I get into a LOT of cars and have to drive many of them, and I would've thought, Doug would understand as someone who's also well over 6 feet, if there was a short passenger or the seat was moved up, I am usually missing about half my view out of the side window. it's SO annoying to reach around the seat, or under, or to the door card and contort yourself (and for quite a long time if they're power operated) just so I can see. Mercedes introducing the R or L seat buttons on the driver's side of it's most recent cars was an aha moment like I've never experienced. it's a little thing, sure. but when you're spending the money for one of these cars and one day in a few years when you notice it, you'll smile a little bc you know they thought of just absolutely everything and it makes the experience of the car that little bit better. there's a reason a Bentley is a Bentley. right now that subtle difference is aligning seat positions, but in the past and I'm sure in the future, it might be something nobody had ever thought of, but could totally change the car industry.

When you the only one in this car and no one comes to passenger seat, and you do want to hope in either seat so you will find both perfectly positioned without the "trouble" of adjusting each one.. 2. Hey a fun fact tho; VW Phaeton used the Bentley chasis and alot of parts from it, like cockpit was literally from Flying spur(and flying spur is nothing else but a 4 door Continental GT). So in reality since all parts are shared in group there is a possibility that at least 1 mechanical part in your car is from Bentley... maybe.

16:13 I think the passenger seat adjustment is there to improve driver field of view. I have an infiniti g37 coupe and there is a button on the driver side of the passenger seat that moves it back and forward. I frequently use it whenever someone has left the passenger seat too far up for me to see out the passenger window.

Bentley does not cheap out brotha. Guaranteed there’s no cheap springs or levels or whatever making that screen flip. I wouldn’t be surprised if it takes 10+ years before it starts jamming. I have a 2005 Porsche Cayenne that I wouldn’t put the interior parts on the level of Bentley and my screen and buttons on the interior all still work perfect. I can’t imagine a Bentley having any issues like that anytime soon.

I’ve never wanted a Bentley in my life until I saw this car. A photographer I follow accidentally leaked his login info for the press release photos and I fell in love so fast. The attention to detail is incredible even down to the UI within the infotainment system is insane.
