My closely-related 2018 F60 MINI Countryman's finance payments are WAY higher than any of the figures you cited, even with my outstanding credit. Ironically, in real-life, I could have gotten an X1 way cheaper, but I'm still clinging to my manual transmissions.

Yeah the monthly payments are typically lower on a lease. You're paying depreciation, not financing the full value of the vehicle. There's also the down payment for the lease which is a factor, that can be as high as $4500 or more. I personally wouldn't buy a new BMW or lease one, but I get why others can and do. How do you like the F60?

I don’t think there’s a 6 cylinder X1 anymore. The first gen had the 35i 300HP. But this generation the highest you get is the 28i 4 cylinder

I think you're correct. I do think I'd choose the 6 cylinder in the X3 if available

Not clear with the leases.. you cant compare monthly unless you know how much they put down!!

Niko G yeah obviously, there are many variables that go into lease vs. finance, just a general overview of payments. Ultimately the total cost over the period is what should be compared

I like the feeling of that 4-cylinder turbo but from what I’ve heard they all kinds of problems.

I haven't heard any issues with them yet, but the engine bay definitely looks tight to work on!

BIMMER ZEIT My local dealer mentioned they’ve had to do rod bearings on the early generation 4 cylinders already, yikes. But the torque is very impressive.

The X1 is a sub-compact. The X-3 is a compact.

Lol you know nothing about cars because I had a 2017 bmw x1 and the 2018 bmw x1 and they were both touch screen.. that feature is not new 😅 I believe the 2019 is the first one with CARPLAY.. which you didn’t even talk about.. terrible review btw
