I liked how you overlaid the Ego sound at the end when your channel name popped up. Nice touch!

I'm 100% petrolhead and i love energica ego sound. I hope more electric sportbike will come up with their distinctive sound and not just silent

Imagine if the loud pipes save life crowd found a way to control bike sounds...eeek. Surprised Harley hasn’t patented the livewire. Lol

There are two other models in their lineup which are more suitable for the commuting or in-town riding you were measuring the Ego against. Also the current new models are faster, have much longer range, and include traction control, cruise, and other improvements.

At last a road tester not stuck on the "bike must have a noise" thing. Ive been on bikes 50 years and have gas bikes some noisy (Raptor V1000 with cans) and I like a variety of unique machines but to have no noise on my Zero SRF is so good., In reality when you wind it on there is a noise like the Energica that will make pedestrians turn their heads but you have the option.

👍🏼 comprehensive review. Nice to see there are more electric KZbinr growing. And it seems you are also infected with the EGO virus.

Lex Summer it’s a blast for sure! I’m hoping they begin to develop a variety of bikes like Zero does!

@@TheMotopologist We will see... The variety needs new homolgisation for every frame. and that is extremly expensive. In the US or UK it is way easyer than in Europe. Because of this fact i think they put all the R&D into te existing models to make it even better than they are right now. How ever.. i would love to see some new brand like ALTA. So sad that this awesome MC are no longer available.

Not using your left foot and no clutch I’m not sure if I could ever get used to that.

This is the basic model. New model is lighter, has more power and a lot more range! And what about the fastcharge?

Correct the base model was used. I'm excited to do an update video on the new model when it comes out. I should also mention their "Build an EGO" website allows you to customize a bike with Ohlins, OZ forged wheels and carbon bodywork!

Except these things weigh almost as much as Roadster. 280KG is a lot of weight on a motorcycle no matter how much power you have.

The only thing I haven't heard was battery life
@TheMotopologist5 жыл бұрын
Anthony.. If we're talking range they advertise 130 miles on eco mode (not sure who can stay in eco mode that long!) but not many other figures. As always staying off the highway will give you the least amount of current draw and more miles. If you meant battery life they are 3 year or 31,000 miles warranty on battery.
@alwayswatching28205 жыл бұрын
@@TheMotopologist it seem as it may be short lived on mileage and having to stay on eco to get 130 also would depend on mph if it's set at 60 that wouldnt work in rural areas such as california az tx and some others .... Battery life at only 3 yrs is a tuff pill to swallow expensive aswell though I do like the details that are in the bike by the way I dont know if you know segways is releasing a motorcycle aswell
@TheMotopologist5 жыл бұрын
anthony ramos the 3 years / 31k miles is the warranty period not the life. IIRC this bike was running a 11.7 kwh battery so not nearly as big as the Zero SR/F’s 14.4 kWh getting 160 miles on street and 80 on highway (@ 70 mph)
@alwayswatching28205 жыл бұрын
@@TheMotopologist sorry about that I meant 3 year warranty those battery arent cheap to buy hopefully it wont be a high retail otherwise it will end up like the prius (where the battery end up being worth more than half the car cost) they currently are going to be unveiling an electric bike that goes 200 mph with a range at that speed of 200 miles 200 hp sopposedly at event coming up soon
