If you're a regular reader of Time+Tide, it should come as no surprise that the Longines Heritage Collection has gone from strength to strength over the last few years. An early sign of the success that was to come was the Longines Heritage Diver 1967 in 2015 (a watch that was kindly donated to the Time+Tide Watch & Act! auction for the Australian bushfire crisis), and again with the Longines Heritage 1945 in 2017. But while you might expect that Longines had used all its dry powder over the last half-decade, they have released one of the best Heritage Collections yet in 2020. Here, we take a look at five of our favourites.
Included in the winning references is a selection that shows the diversity of the Longines Heritage Collection, which covers dress watches, chronographs, military-style watches and aviation watches. Each piece is inspired by the rich archives of the brand, and demonstrates the important legacy that Longines has built over almost two centuries.

i own since 2016 the Heritage conquest (35mm) cream dial. Pure class, strap monster. i will keep it forever. Take care to the Lug To Lug of certain models ;)

Great new releases by Longines! Longines and Baume Mercier with their Clifton Baumatic are doing a great job with their new product lineup! Bravo. I'm getting close to adding a Longines Master Collection Moonphase Blue 40mm bracelet to my watch collection. The Ball Fireman Victory in Blue is a close second.

Did you get it? How do you like it? I was thinking of getting the moon phase-chronograph. But probably in 42mm because the 40mm has the outer date-ring too close to the sub-dials and seems crowded as a result.

That Tuxedo Chrono is just sensational. Shame Longines shut down a FB group with thousands of members who were just fans of the brands. That's how you piss of customers. Also, the S in Longines is silent ;) Great video!

That Marine Nationale is to die for (drooling all over that stepped case and big crown)! Longines with their Heritage re-issues are so on point. I think these would be perfect if Longines would stop with the faux aging. These heritage designs with updated technology and refreshed-looking hands/dials would be wonderful. Let those who obsess over aged aesthetics look to the vintage market.

Well, the problem is, the Marine Nationale in good condition would cost you around 3500 usd or more depending on the condition and nitpicks, WATCH ONLY. it would cost significantly more with the complete set like box and papers, and another additional cost to service it as well, compared with this 2k USD watch, full box, and no need for the troubles. I mean it's still a better trend than wearing a clock on the wrist trend of last decade in 2000s

They're all so beautiful, especially the first chronograph, I would buy it in a heartbeat if it wasn't for that damn closed case back aaaaah, such a shame! It's not even a good lucking closed case back, damn it!

Well... It's period correct. And if they want to open up the caseback, it'll be rather boring as the movement is just an automatic movement with additional of chronograph module on top, not like the moonwatch omega.

@@alexandermarquardt597 I know. I worked as a watchmaker in the Swatch Group service Center in my country before. Did you know they have the auto-quartz version of the reduced? They only make 5 of them as prototype, with red dial of the Schumacher version. Seen it in person before quite a long time ago. And had the Marine watch from 1932, sold it to my friend. And for the moonwatch, I prefer their latest moonwatch with the co-axial movement. Anti-magnetic and worry free, though should have come with the plexy glass version as well so in case of scratches it's easily to be polished.

Most of these seem like very dressy pieces. Personally I wouldn't edc them even if they had more wr, but rather keep them for formal events or some special outings.

I think you underestimate 30m. Most average divers don't even go past that point.. For EDC the little bits of rain and water from washing hands etc will be nothing in comparison.

Mike Ess while its true that nothing you do daily exceeds 30m of pressure, many manufacturers say it is only good for washing your hands and things like missing a screw down crown makes me believe that to be true and the 30m WR rating to be a marketing thing...
