The 2020 Mazda 3 is Mazda's new Sporty hatchback. Today I'm reviewing the new 2020 Mazda 3 hatchback model to show you all the ins and outs of the Mazda 3 as well as show you what your money can get from Mazda for well under 30k! ----- And I will be driving the 2020 Mazda 3 to give my full opinion.

By today's standards, a 2.5L is a large engine in a car like this. Much better than having a 1.5L like in a Honda. Glad to see a 6 speed auto as well and not a CVT like Honda. I used to be a Honda fan but I don't like where they are going anymore.

I'm with you. When I shopped for a smallish SUV I was turned off by the CVT in the CR-V and design. I had been a long-time Honda owner and switched to Mazda in 2017.

Have a 2020 Mazda 3 Hatch Premium with AWD...OEM tires were terrible...changed the tires to Vredestein Quatrac 5...talk about a "Driver's Car"! WOW...the Vredestein tires make this car even more fun to drive. Regarding the turn knob for the radio etc...actually when you get used to it, it's easy to master. Just takes some time using it. Cup holder placement is terrible...but...had to do that so you would have easy access to the radio knob. I completely agree with you about not having vents for the rear occupants...Mazda missed the boat on that one! All in all, this 3 is a fun car to drive ESPECIALLY with great tires and I really like the blind spot warning on the heads-up display; great safety feature. Cheers!

The chrome on the lower half of the window is not cost cutting, it’s a design feature to accentuate the bottom of the window curvature. The sedan has the exact opposite, chrome only on the top and not the bottom.

Dude, how many 4 cylinder engines do you know of that aren't inline? Not counting some wierd Saab design from the 60's-70's of course. Inline itself doesnt provide smoothness, in fact the larger the 4 cylinder engine (2.5l is very large) the more imperitive it must have some sort of balance shafts to smooth things out. Just fyi, great job on the review

That’s a 2019 bud, the 2020 model does not have the cup holder door anymore. They removed it for the 2020 and have the cup holder fully exposed. Loved the review! Keep doing what you’re doing!

26/30 mpg you quoted as 'city and highway' is incorrect...30 is the combined city/highway mpg and 19" rims are incorrect.it's18" rims..oh, and the steering wheel does not vibrate when the blind spot monitoring light goes on..

Great video Ryland 😎 I really like the design of the new 3, although I do think it could do with some separate front fog lights to brake-up the vast space on the lower front bumper (or fender, I think you guys call it!?) Can’t wait to drive one.

One of the reasons I bought mine. Kinda sad I couldn't get a manual transmission, but the automatic is surprisingly good. Mazda did well with the power train combo.

@@steelewheels1365 not on the dealer lots, especially where I am. To get the manual you have to go for top trim AWD hatch and most dealerships sell the ones they have on stock, or mark them up. Where I am, there was one and it was overpriced. I didn't want one at that cost.

@jamessteven526 4 жыл бұрын
@@steelewheels1365 you're right but you still have to go the full gusto and buy the premium package, along with the hatchback body style. I paid $18,800 altogether for my 2019 Preferred. But for a premium manual? It was "stickered" at $29,500 and that's cause it was the only one. My whole point was that I can't get a manual in the car I wanted, like you could with all Mazda 3 models before it.

@@steelewheels1365 heated seats, Bose, and a power driver's seat. That's basically all it has over the select trim, I think. I don't have AWD, but I wanted Bose. The stock setup was seriously lacking bass. Otherwise I'd have just bought the select.

@@jameszack7158 For the price of a "naked" golf you get a medium specced Mazda 3. So for the same price you get a whole lot of safety features, leather seats, heated seats, adaptive cruise control and way more engine power etc. Sure if you would spec a Golf to the level of the Mazda you can make some arguments. I even trie it for you but after the golf was 50% more expensive than the Mazda I stopped speccing. Sure you dont need all those features but if I would have the choice between a "naked" Golf and a specced Mazda I would choose the Mazda. And thats from someone who drives a VW at the moment.
