I also love my Mazda3, I got a 2019 premium hatchback with red leather interior and all black exterior which looks bad ass but........ it’s a puny engine. No worries cause their coming out with a turbo engine that will put out 250hp and over 300 pound-feet of torque on sale here in the states at the end of the year. My lease is up in 2 years. I’m getting me a Zoom Zoom baby. Maybe you should trade yours in.

@@FAST41 I leased a 2020 manual hatchback in machine grey metallic. It really is a great car, I have a few small issues, but my main complaint has been that it needs the 2.5l turbo. They just added it for 2021, but only with the auto. While I agree its a great addition to the lineup it just doesn't do it for me with the old 6 speed auto they're still using. I'm hoping that the alleged straight six rear wheel drive mazda 6 comes out by the time my lease is up and I can move into that.

I test drove this exact color and trim level. I wasn't expecting much, but I was blown away with the handling from the first few feet, despite its 'inferior' rear suspension. I prioritize handling well over speed, which is why one of my favorite cars ever was the 5M 1992 -94 BMW 318i sedan with 138 hp. Add in the all the luxury stuff, and you have a good car with this Mazda. Further add in the fact that nobody wants these and dealers are desperate for buyers, and you have a great car.

I bought this car yesterday in the soul red color and I am awed completely. Upgrading from 2008 Toyota Yaris Sedan...I feel like I'm driving a spaceship now. The special features are Incredible and I'm very excited to drive this AWD in the snow vs the Toyota I had that struggled just a little bit as FWD (it was decent though still). RIP Toyota you were good to me and paved the way for this beauty here! Love my Mazda!

Just bought this exact car in the 2021 model (except all black interior) yesterday. Been a Toyota Corolla owner for 33 years, but their Corolla hatchback doesn't hold a candle to this car. Gorgeous color (poly metal gray), design, and interior. Far quieter than my last Corolla. Sound system is amazing. Safety features that won't quit. I love the nav/infotainment being controlled like it is (hate touch screens when driving). The blind spot concerned me initially, but after driving it a few hundred miles I've had no issue. All the sensors around this car take good care of you. It is a joy to drive. If Mazda keeps making cars of this quality at this price range, it will make my future purchases really easy. Joe - thank you, your video helped me a lot in my decision making and pointing me towards the Mazda brand. Sorry I don't live in your area. Had to drive 230 miles to get this car, but that was better than the 800 miles it would have been to get to the next nearest dealer that had this same car.

Had it 18 months now and zero issues. I live nearly 200 miles from the nearest Mazda dealer so I took a chance in purchasing a Mazda, but I just couldn’t get past the difference between the Corolla, which I have driven for 33 years in mostly hatchback style, and the 3 hatch manual 6. I love the car more now than I did coming off the lot. And everyone can say what they want about no touch screen. I had touch before and love what Mazda has done. Personal preference.

Love my 2018 Mazda3 that i have had for another 1.5 years now. For reference the 2.5l is 186 hp and 186 torque. Civic si is 209hp and 196 torque (in this range I don’t recall exacts) Mazda is so comfortable and just a joy to drive everyday. I love the SI but I wanted a hatch and the Mazda was just more comfortable for me as a taller guy.

I had a 2016 Mazda3 GT that I had to sell and now own a 2019 Civic Sport Hatchback. The 2.5L in that Mazda was no joke. Stock vs. stock, the Mazda3 was the better car. The Civic has more modding potential and way more space, which is why I got it, but I very nearly bought another Mazda3. I think people still don’t realize how good the past generation 3 was. It was the best car in the segment.

Marcus McNeal yea I wouldn’t trade this in on a newer 3 at all. This 3rd gen really does everything really well. It’s not a hot hatch but I think it is still a warm hatch. I don’t understand why people knock the engine when it is honestly a joy to drive and not far off from competition

Mazda has moved into what might rightfully be considered the lead in terms of being an upmarket small car. And they're getting more reliable, too (though still shy of Toyota by a discernible margin). But they are not made to be easy to work on. Try changing the AC filter. Everything seems more complicated than Honda or Toyota.

Mazda 3 HB is a strong option here in the mexican market. Planning on getting a new car, Mazda 3HB manual costs around $390k MXN, while the MK7 Golf (only comes in auto) costs almost 100k more ($487k MXN) with only 150HP, same for a Seat Leon FR which is the same as Golf. Kia's offer with the Forte GT Line is out of consideration given its size and saturated design imho. Might be getting this Mazda hopefully by the end of this year.

I AM buying this car. Dollar for dollar, this is the best thing out there for someone who can't afford a $40K vehicle. I'm in the military, so while this may eat a lot of my paycheck, I am also looking at huge returns on the flipside. Since I'm in the military, I can get this at 1.99% APR for 5 years, which brings the price with dealer fees and taxes (assuming I don't negotiate anything down) to under $28K even with the $2K dealer markups. I believe that without the Jatco transmissions, Mazdas like this one can last 20 years. At $1,400 a year, this car will be tough to beat, even by used car standards. Can't wait! It's also pretty quick and decent mpg, plus fun to drive! I'll get to do all the preventative maintenance myself, and I will baby this thing! No big repair bills!

(ref time 9:55) I am still driving the 2006 Mazda3 sedan 2.oL manual transmission which I bought new and have thoroughly enjoyed it now for 17 years of daily driving. It has been so reliable and enjoyable to drive. I truly felt a Zoom Zoom sensation so to speak. I tried to find a new Mazda3 sedan the last year they offered a manual in it but could not find one and at that time(2018 maybe) I did not like the hatchback design. Now I am much more satisfied with the hatchback design and am willing to purchase one, even though it doesn't feel as Zoom Zoom as my 2006, but it is much quieter & smoother & many times more luxurious. It also has about 40 more horsepower than my 2006 2.oL but that it not as noticeable in the way this new Mazda3 delivers it. But right now it is somewhat difficult to find it available in a manual in GA, TN, AL areas. Anyway I really appreciate your video production, it was excellent. Looking forward to watching you in some more.... maybe the SI, BRZ, Elantra-N, etc... Something that is fun to drive, has a manual, and can be purchased under $40k. By the way before I quit here, I got a Honda dealer quote the other day on an SI in the Atlanta area and they had it jacked up to $39k+ Hello Tony, Thank you for your interest in the Civic Si. Honestly price difference isn't all that different with a Honda Civic Sport Hatchback (MSRP $23,650 CVT and goes up with trims) . The Mazda 3 base hatchback is like $23,700. Just need to negotiate when you're at you're dealer. Honda has more options when it comes to trim, but you need to consider apples to apples comparison when it comes to specs and what you are getting with each car. I went with the Mazda because it has more refined, adult look. Price was worth it.

@@MrRishdog Yes recommended , I have no regrets, pros : shape, ( something a bit different ) interior , ( lot's of soft touch, & seats are really comfy, ) no CVT ( I have the automatic ) reliable proven engine , ( 2.0 ltr has no cylinder deactivation ) economical, Android ( couldn't be without it now ) blind spot monitoring , Sat Nav is a big improvement on last car , reverse camera & sensors, very high safety rating, automatic wipers , lights, & doors lock automatically when you hit 20 kmph. arm rest & storage box , Built in Japan, no turbo, Cons, piano black plastic around the gear shifter, be careful it scratches easy, if you come from an suv it might feel a little claustrophobic ( I like the cockpit feel ) , visibility isn't the best , but I don't think it's as bad as some make out, it's just not the best. A little pricey , but you get what you pay for, just don't buy the base model, pay a little more for the next option up , it's worth it, 2.0 litre not the fastest out there but this car is not about performance , has enough grunt for what I need. @@asafmagen In the states we actualyy have the 2.5 only (at the moment). I'd say that the Mazda3 is worth the extra price if you value longterm dependability and luxury for sure. A: Thanks for talking about the different trim levels; it's extremely annoying to look for a car review video and find nothing but "reviewer trim model" videos. B: "Wheelspin is non-existent" is music to my ears... I've owned a 2004 and a 2013 3 base model, and the tendency is sometimes embarrassing- a damp road, a green light, and people think you're Leadfoot.

@@Realistick I like it A LOT, it has amazing traction (it took pouring rain and a 30mph right hand at a light w/ TC off to get sideways and even then it recovered really well). Of course the car is very underpowered, I wish it had the FA20 motor from the BRZ since there is such a large aftermarket for that engine but it is the cheapest car Subaru makes currently and beggars can't be choosers lol

I dunno. It's about 7 grand more than the 2015 was. it's slightly more sporty, but it's gas mileage isn't as good. And I like the styling of the 2015 better to be honest. Most of the things you're praising are present on the 2015 as well. ehhh, I like the leather, but I don't like the leather for 7 grand. I'd be cautious with praising the MT though. It's slick at lower RPM, but if you're actually going to test that 0-60 time, it's 'extremely' sensitive to rev matching at high RPM.
@Realistick

Actually, if you compare the 2.5L motor in the previous gen, the pricing is much, much closer. My girlfriend has a 2016 and quality is a big step up in the new model. I think a lot of people don't really appreciate that though and that is why the price can be a barrier in this segment. The car itself is pretty fantastic to me, that's all subjective though and the old car was great too. The manual in here is satisfying if you compare it to any other new car. I didn't get a good launch in it because the road I was on was busy and I just dumped the clutch a little too quick. With a little practice, it could haul ass. It's not a miata but to say mazda went backwards with regard to the transmission is an overstatement.
